Mod conflicts with runspeed mods and possibly some other due to both mods modifying apr_base.gda, which prevents the outfit from showing. From what I've gathered, an easy workaround is to extract the apr_base... files with pyGFF from the .erf files (no need to unpack everything, having everything unpacked without the .erf file did not work for me, the whole body was missing). I don't have the full grasp of what is loaded first, but to ensure it works: 1. RunSpeed mod folder is in alphabetic priority (A-RunSpeed vs B-Isabela) 2. Extracted .gda are located alongside their source.
Now, this way the runspeed mod won't affect Isabela, but you can edit the extracted .gda copy-pasting the values from your runspeed mod. Values you may be interested in start with ANIM and GAME, it's pretty straightforward.
Sorry to be a pain, but having trouble getting this to work. I put both the A and B files in my DA2/packages/core/overrides folder, then loaded my game and went to the Hanged Man to recruit her. Isabella is still in her game base default outfit. How do I get the mod to activate so she is using the mod's captain outfit?
Have you put the mod in a folder in the docs? Did you create the override folder yourself or did it already exist? It's just called «override», not «overrides». Perhaps you have another mod that changes Isabella's outfit. Try renaming the mod files to «zz_Captain Isabella A» and «zz_Captain Isabella B».
I had the same problem, I believe it's because the Diverisfied Followers mod. My suggestion would be to download this mod https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonage2/mods/4351
Then just equip Isabela with it, you wont have the hat but I think there's another mod for that aswell. I hope this helps.
This mod is absolutely amazing for Isabela! I was wondering, if you want to, to have a different colour option for both the hat and outfit? I would specify the teal colour that's from Inquisition's multiplayer!
My first ever comment on a mod! I've *always* wanted a classic pirate look for Isabela, but this is above and beyond my expectations and looks BEAUTIFUL in game! I was so excited when I saw this pop up in her tag. One thing I was wondering is would it be possible to get a version without the hat? I was hoping to have her start off with short hair and no hat and get the full look in Act 3.
Thank you for the kind words! Yes, it's possible. What hairstyle do you mean - the one under the hat in the screenshot or the default one? I can do it.
Upd.: I added options for Isabella's outfit without a hat. Isabella changes her outfit «A» to «B» when she begins an affair with Hawke. You can choose any option to your liking and replace it at any time.
Ohh, nice! What a great idea! :) Sorry I wasn't able to be of more help earlier, but I'm glad you found a workaround!
By the way, you are totally welcome to package the models/items necessary in this mod yourself, so people don't have to bother with downloading Accessorize Your Life or Lowtown Marketplace Revival. (AYL especially can be a bit of a pain for people who might just want a new Isabela look.)
Until recently, I myself didn't know that this could be done. I used to make replacers differently, by renaming the mmh file. Thanks for the permission, I will definitely do so!
