Due to real life reasons I won't be maintaining my mods or my account anymore. After my break due to work, I realised I don't have time or energy to mod, update and help users. I need to focus on myself for a while.
What I really want to do is delete my account but I don't wish to leave users unable to access my mods so I will be leaving everything up.
If this account ever gets removed, I give permission for users to host or share my mods as long as I'm credited and the original readme files are attached. The only exception is the mod I host on ILS Morphs: Wynne the Flip Side by MrFlipFlops.
I do not give permission or does the original author. (Please screenshot this if you do this) I might come back in the future but I want to thank everyone who left lovely comments and enjoyed my edits.
:) hello. Could you please tell me how you guys alter the faces? I really wanted to adjust some features on some characters but i have no idea how... I've created millions of morphs for DAO with the toolset but DA2 has no toolset and so the morph system works differently. I've searched the Internet for the answer but there was little to be found...
Could you please give me tips, links or something? I really don't know who else to turn to... :(
Hi, the method I use is really simple. I use DA2 NPC Presets by lastofthecouslands. Then I start a new game and edit the preset of the NPC I want to edit or use a different preset to replace them. It is very restrictive though, I'm not a great modder so I use what I can to the best of my ability. Then save it as a new save file.
Then you have to have to find the name of the mor file you want to replace, I use these files from this tumblr page: https://dragonagemods.tumblr.com/post/154396858089/hello-i-was-wondering-if-you-could-tell-me-how-to I used this zip to find the file name. I know you extract the files yourself to look through in the erfs in the DA2 game files but I'm lazy.
And I used this tutorial https://dragonagemods.tumblr.com/post/146306600288/i-decided-to-go-ahead-and-make-a-quick-tutorial-on to extract the face I have edited: 1. Boot up the Pygff editor. 2. Navigate to your saves – it should be under My Documents/Bioware/Dragon Age 2/Characters. 3. Find the save with the head you just made, and open the DAS file with the savegame editor. 4. Expand SAVEGAME_PLAYERCHAR and then SAVEGAME_PLAYERCHAR_CHAR. Scroll all the way to the bottom and click on line 16950 – SAVEGAME_PLAYER_MORPH. 5. In the box below it you’ll see a jumble of text. Right click and hit ‘export to file’. 6. I save the file for example as em_zevran.mor. I then make it into a erf file when I'm happy with the edits but that's optional.
That's the way I do it, I'm sure there is a better way but I hope that helps.
