Hello, this isn't exactly about the mod (great mod, though! Love Witcher armors :) but how. How did you tweak things to get Carver and Bethany in your game? (I'm assuming it's like a mute companion situation, where one is *there* but not registered by the game? Or something?) I've been looking for something that can get them both in my game for so LONG. Please, could you possibly explain how you did it? Thank you!
The way I do it is actually pretty simple! Another modder is working on an actual mod to keep them both in the game, but what I do is just use the console, essentially. If you're familiar with using the console -- you type:
runscript zz_dae_debug
Which will give you the option to modify your party ("Modify Party" -> name of the party member you want to add). I wouldn't recommend using this for anyone other than the twins (unless you're just doing testing) because it will mess up quests, but for adding a twin, it works just fine. So what I do is run through the prologue, get to the Gallows, and then add back whichever twin died. They DO have content and will continue to speak, but note that because you've got both when you're not supposed to, this method means that sometimes they're going to overlap in cutscenes. (They'll also overlap in the character select screen unless you use a modified version that moves them -- I have one that does that in my Kirkwall Expanded mod.)
Only one of them will appear in Gamlen's House, unfortunately, depending upon what class you are. But you can still run around with both of them and headcanon the rest. :)
I definitely should've left the old version as an option, not entirely sure why I didn't, but I'll see about uploading the non-chainmail version again in the next couple of days. :)
Edit: Uploaded a no chainmail version in the optional files.
Hey, it's so great to see this mod back and the problem with blue skin is fixed! I'm actually replaying DA2 now and I was wondering if would it be possible to get the version without a chainmail with red/black color?
I somehow totally missed this, and this was like... ten months ago now, sorry! I'll see about uploading the non-chainmail version in a couple of days, though. So sorry!!
This is absolutely fantastic! I'm using the original ciri armor on my FemHawke...I just have a question. It worked perfectly in the starter mission, but after that ended and it was "a year later" it put me in other clothes. I know that I can swap back to my original armor, but...it's clearly nowhere near as good as anything I'm finding. Is it possible to force other armors to change to this? If I do a console command is it possible to make what I'm currently wearing look like it? The excitement was short lived, I was so excited to wear this >.<
Thank you so much for your effort! This is absolutely awesome!
Yes, the start armors file only changes Hawke's prologue outfit -- the game automatically puts Hawke in their Act 1 armor after that (which is different depending upon class and whether you joined the mercs or the smugglers).
The main file itself is meant to be used with the console -- sounds like you've got that running? You need to run the console command I put in the description (so type "runscript anshe_witcher1" when you have the console open, without the quotation marks) -- this will spawn copies of the item into your inventory. There are versions for each class, and these items evolve and will level up with you, so they should be just as good as anything you find.
Hope this helps! And you're welcome, I hope you're able to get it working as you'd wish!
This looks sooo pretty! I love apostate's pledge. I understand that your pretty busy, but whenever you get the chance could I request apostate's pledge as a starter armor replacer for FemHawke? I would really love that, whenever you have time :)
Oh man, you have no idea how long I've been looking for an outfit like Soldier's Fortune. I actually audibly gasped when I saw the pictures.
My only question is if perhaps you know of a way to get this to work for Anders? I used the EquipAllCompanions mod and got it to work, but it's messing up the outfits of my other companions (like Mage Bethany or Warden Carver).
Sure, I'll see if I can help! Which version did you download? If you want to *just* equip it on Anders, try just installing the Standalone version and deleting the replacers -- that shouldn't affect Bethany and Carver's outfits at all, unless you put it on them. Or did whatever companion armor equipment mod you're using mess that up? I believe Diversified Follower Armors (https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonage2/mods/2645?) would leave Bethany and Carver as they are while letting you equip Anders with what you want.
Alternately, if you're wanting to straight up replace Anders's default armor (instead of using it as an equippable armor) I can just do an Anders replacer for you.
Oh gosh, I'm so sorry for only seeing this now! If it's not too much trouble, would it be possible to get the Soldier's Fortune as a replacement armor for Anders?
I've tried to get around the existing companion armor replacement mods, but every time I think I fixed it, another error pops up ;_;

Which mod you got the "Ciri Scar" from? If its not a bother. Would love the different eye colours, too!

Endorsed!
Update: starter armor replacers are now downloadable in the Optional files section. Be sure to only use this when doing an MHawke playthrough!
AAAAAAH, I COULD KISS YOU.
