I got this problem when I started making a Hawke with an elf base, *but* I assume that someone could make a .mor of a character like this and then manually edit the ears onto the preset .mor files and not run into the bugs. Let me know if you try it and I'll do the same when I can edit .mor files.
I've had this happen with an elf mod before. I changed the eyes and got something that looks like a mix-up of a human and an elf. Everything is in between, at least for me. The head is a little lower than human but higher than elf. It doesn't fit perfectly on either bodies. On human armor it does the finger thing. I doubt there's a way to fix it honestly.
