THANK YOU for this mod. Da2 combat is unplayable for me, I'm so happy to get to be able to play this game now without having to suffer through the atrocious combat style. You're a lifesaver
Mods like this are important on older buggy games like this. Even more so when you are modding the game and sometimes you run into a glitch that fries several hours of work.
Great mod when you want to play again just to explore other choices, still works perfectly fine in 2023. Guys, if interested, it does work on Corypheus. I tried out of curiosity (and because I suck and can't even beat him on easy difficulty) and it worked. You still face each phase so you have to use LOA a few times but in the end, you can kill him with closed eyes. I figured out it could interest all my fellas bad at video games like me.
Is there any possibility of adding it permanently to the skills tree without the console?
Well, if you're on PC and familiar with GFF Editor, you can edit your last save (back up it first, just in case).
Open your file and expand line 16002 (SAVEGAME_PLAYERCHAR), then expand the following lines : 16208 (SAVEGAME_PLAYERCHAR_CHAR) -> 16209 (SAVEGAME_CREATURE_STATS) -> 16309 (SAVEGAME_ABILITYLIST).
In the "Edit" zone, click on the "Add" button, then click on the line that has just been added (it should have 0 in the "Value" column).
Go to the "Edit" zone again and replace 0 by 502210, then click on the "Save" button.
Go to the menu bar, click on "File", choose "Save as" and accept to override your file.
Launch the game, load your save and take a look into Hawke's abilities sheet, you'll find Litany of Adralla next to the summon dog ability. Drag it to a free slot in your quickbar and you'll be able to skip the fights.
If you have trouble or don't how to use GFF Editor, you can send me your save, I'll (try to) edit it for you.
Thank you for this! I initially was like "nah don't need it" when I started a new game, but I just had to reload a save after a solid 2 hours of boring grinding (finishing all the gangs sidequests before I finish Act 2) and was dreading having to redo it all. This is great.
