For those having trouble with the mod I can confirm that it seems to work when starting a new game but not an existing save - BUT - you can get it to work by using one of the console command scripts that allow item creation - I just used WADDI to spawn heartbreaker/backstabber with the upgraded stats when the ones already on Isabella didn't update when the mod was installed on my existing save.
This mod is fantastic! I usually give modded weapons to my companions, except for Aveline, who complains if I sell her shield. At least now her shield that does not match her profession or her armor at all won't also be useless!
Works like a charm, and it's a great addition to the game! It always bothered me that I have to throw out everyone's personal weapons, so this is one of my all-time favorite mods. Thank you so much for creating it!
Great mod. Slightly... okay, maybe more than slightly OP in the additions made to these items, but never the less brilliant from an RP perspective for people like me with sentimental attachments to the characters and their history and items. Also, I know others are saying it doesn't work but I've had no issue with it at all. Even coexisiting alongside Sunnies item mods, which it overwrote.
Happily endorsing this. I discovered it while gearing up for another runthrough and now can't imagine playing without it. The companion items should've had this treatment from the beginning.
Only thing possibly bad about it is that it results in one having a lot more weaponry to sell, since most of the time the found weaponry is no longer going to companions.
