for Dalls_Gear - (DA2) Rogue

v1.4

04/11/2011

Rogue is Dragon Age 2 new-items mod which adds to your inventory quite large number of desirable (fit for Rogue / Assassin) arms, accessories n armor.

Dalls_Gear (my player class - equipment series) delivers to you new (not in game) equipment (arms, armors n accessories) - simply said all those necessities you have always wanted to have but could not - as Bioware has chosen not to include / make them so. Only best (DA2) models were used, most of them (arms n armor) are self levelling and they all are well specified / liberally enchanted to be better / more powerful then luck-lustre game offers - so if you like them - they can be used from begging to the end of game.

All of you who are familiar with my Dalls_Gear (DAO) mods will probably have fair idea what this mod stands for but for sake of all others which are not - let me explain it in - detail.

You will get following items:

1/ Six high-grade - rogue outfits / (light) armor sets
2/ Three enchanted rogue - (leather) cowls n (silk) head-scarves/ (metal) helmets
3/ Four enchanted high grade - bows (two longbows n two shortbows)
4/ Ten exquisite n enchanted - daggers (five matched pairs - one pair Longswords)
5/ One enchanted - (Assassin) Longsword
6/ Two enchanted - amulets
7/ Two enchanted - belts
8/ Four enchanted - rings

There are two versions of this mod: one with (my) textures (posted pictures) and other one without any - chose whichever you like better. If you have these arms n armor / their textures (via some other mod/s) installed or if you already have my (texture mods) Anders, Bethany, Real Champion, Villains n Weapons - I would recommend Rogue version without textures - otherwise it is all up to you.

To use this mod you need to have access to game console - if so - type command: "runscript dalls_rogue" without quotes (quotation marks) and you will get my lot straight into your inventory. If you need / want to get something in-there, more then once just repeat above procedure but as you will receive quite a few (inventory) items (20+) - keep in mind that you need to have enough free slots in your inventory!*

* Standard, by game set low - Maxitems - number can be changed in your character (game) save/s to anything you like so if you like to have loads of choices in your inventory - set your inventory size accordingly before any big or repeated runscript (mod) item call/s. This (size) change needs to be done only once (per PC / your M/F character) and all your consequent saves will keep it. But you need to remember not to buy any (in shop-sold) backpack as they won't add anything useful and will only reset - by you set - (Maxitems) size back to game (very stingy n low) defaults.

To install navigate to your BioWare game folder - one in Your Documents \BioWare\Dragon Age 2 and drag n drop / copy - paste my Dragon Age 2 (mod) folder there. Allow overwrite. That is all you need to do.

If you don't like these new items, simply delete / remove Dalls_Gear_Rogue.erf file from BioWare\Dragon Age 2\packages\core\override\

Bugs/conflicts: none known. Arms n armor re-textures like all other I make are aimed at / will work best with (game) GAMMA Video settings in-between 1.7 - 2.4!

Note on v1.1: Some minor (GUI) fixes and new - better balanced item statistics. Otherwise same as previous version. To get these "new" items (if you have previous version) you need to use "runscript dalls_rogue" command again! You'll have two choices: one is to keep v1.0 items (with previous statistics) as second set or to delete / lose them altogether. For "keep them" choice, you don't need to do anything special other then to install new v1.1 - for "get rid of them" sell them (if you want coin) ;) or delete / destroy them - before or after (makes no difference) - v1.1 install n repeated / new runscript call.

Note on v1.2: Another (civil) armor and nice dagger added. As DA2, outfit offer fit for real Rogues is somehow thin on ground I have made one "new" F/M outfit combo which in my opinion works quite well especially for my new city Rouges - infamous n deadly - Orlaisian Bards. How to get them (if you have some previous version) read above!

Note on v1.3: One new shortbow and two more rogue "classes" added. Now beside Orlaisian Bards (v1.2) there are Street (Brawling) Rogues and (Rough) Brigands. "New" armors (models) used are Isabella's bodies, Carver (start) and Anders (start). Your character can "wear" any of them and if you are using DA2 Equip Your Party or something similar, you will be able to "return" these nice, bodies to their original "owners" at will. I would recommend (if you have previous version) clean save* (or in game removal / sale of all previous items) before (v1.3) install as some (weapons) IDs have been changed! As there are no new statistics, - read "new" (v1.3) items are same as old (v1.2) ones, there is no real reason to hold on them.

*clean-save: remove previous Dalls_Gear_Rogue.erf > get into game without it n save > get out and install new (mod) version and you are ready to go / use it again

Note on v1.4: Gentlemen Assassins - if any - should rejoice as they finally can look as good as Orleisian Bard-Masters do and get about their (game) business as usual. Even more so, if they prefer to dual-wield instead of "lowly" daggers - to Gentlemen much more appropriate - long blades! ;) Regardless of your preferences in this update you are getting one M/F Master-Bard outfit, one (real) Assassins Long sword and matched pair of long-bladed daggers (actual Longswords but they will work / can be used with all dagger dual-wield techniques / perks). New textures added (version with textures).
