Even bad JEPGs contain myriad of valid / useful information if one knows how to read them properly and I am quite positive that my shots are properly made and anything else but bad or unreadable.
As for colors they are as they are (in my game) I don't do anything special there so I am not certain that I fully follow your remark on them especially so as my lot is usually less colorful then Biowares one is. Try to play game at higher GAMMA and that is what you'll get instead of usual murky and blurred/subdued (dark) colors.
Hi, I suppose you are bored and tired with this question about the pictures you posted for your mods. And I understand they are low quality and I have full faith that the reality of your mods are of great quality and shows great detail.
However, I don't know why or how you could obtain those badly colored screenshot? I do know that the nexus does not accept pictures of great resolution and size. (I got errors when I upload my screenshots as well) But I just usually resize their resolution not to have more than 1000 pixels either height or width with no sacrifice to the quality or the colors.
It's just tedious that the only way to try out the mods is to really download and use it, which then again, we're not sure what to expect. Just a thought that's all
Kirkwall (like all other mods I make) is de facto real Hi-Res without any penalties and silly self-imposed quality restrictions as all files used have been optimally sized for (high visual) quality - on all machines / without preference to any particular OS or DX.
OK found it. Being 1Gb download it might indeed be Hi-Res but it is supposed to be only for DX11 and OS which support this still budding format. My Kirkwall will work equally well with DX9 as with DX11 and size-wise will use less cycles / put less strain on any computer / video card.
One small correction to my initial reply to your question - Kirkwall and this pack can be used together as this is game standard (high) texture pack and not something that goes into game override so there will be no conflict/s whatsoever. That said if you have DX11 OS and choose to use (in settings) High Resolution some of these textures , probably, will be used regardless of same but smaller-sized ones in override folder. But as I had chance for quick peek at them know - they are not worth effort! They are somewhat better then quite terrible game ones but most of them are not real High Resolution! Few which are HR are OK but there are some other (area/landscape files)which are unnecessary oversized. These textures will pose serious problem even to mightiest machines without much visual benefits or obvious difference in quality. All in all very strange mix of still to small medium, high resolution and too big - oversized files.
It is the last item at the bottom and they call it "High Resolution Texture Pack for the PC version of Dragon Age II"
As for can they be used together (side-by_side) answer is no! Game engine in such a case would ignore both and would revert to use of original with game supplied / installed low- resolution textures. So you will have to chose one over other. Simply try both (separately) and keep/use one you like better
