Thanks so much for this. There are some things whose appearance I just prefer, or their stat allocation is perfect for my build, that I just don't want to let go. To me, it's not about being overpowered, but about looking in the way I want to look without worrying about gimping myself by outleveling these items.
However, I'd like to request that you add versions of the items (Last Descent, etc) without the model swap. Having that as an option is fine, but not everyone will want it.
You have to install the mod before you get the items. Once you have the item looted, even if it's from a DLC chest, those stats are baked into the game. You can use the console to acquire the item again and it will have the new stats per the mod.
I have the mod installed; even started new characters, but the High Lord's Belt remains un-evolving. It's the only item that is unaffected. I cannot find the prm000im_fut04 (High Lord's Belt ID) anywhere.
EDIT: 03-06-2024 (dd-mm-yy): the following mod [https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonage2/mods/2203] allows me to add the "evolving" item attribute to the remaining promo items, that are not included in Looka's pack. The only drawback is that I need to make those edits for every playthrough, since I do not possess the knowhow to add the changed items in a similar fashion as Looka did. The main point is, that the items that were -for whatever reason or oversight- not included in Looka's pack, will no longer become redundant when I level up several times.
Unfortunately, it doesn't work. Although I unpacked the "dLCs Complete Evolving Item Pack-3039-1" folder in the override folder, there has been no change to *any* item in the game... Or does it require a new game to be started to work?
You will be my new god if this works as well as I hope.
Cause as a male rogue I really really hate wearing skirts lol. So this mod will in theory let me effectively use the rare armor that I actualy like the look of without fear of it having horribly below lvl stats.
Thank you for having a file for each individual item and placing them in their own folders so they're easy to find if we're looking for only one or two items we would like to see evolve with level-up. I'll endorse the file once the "you just downloaded this file" waiting period is over.
hey, looka, could you explain to me briefly how to use the DLC evolving pack? I'd already installed it and run the game but nothing happen to my DLC's items. THANKs..
The Mage Pack 2, Rogue Pack 2 and Warrior Pack 2 items have weird level requirements. And it seems they've been reset to the current level of my character (a rogue this time). I'll try to upload a screenshot.
is deleting the start gear and companions folder remove changes to the ones stated in description? just want to make sure...
and can anyone help me finding which file should i delete to retain some swapped equipment models like the lion of orlais shield. i would like it to still evolve but keep original model
I can't seem to get this to work either... I've installed it in the override folder but when I load my saved game, nothing has changed. Do you need to start a new game for this to work?
EDIT/UPDATE: Uh yeah... any items you've already found are stuck as they were. You need to start a new game if you want all items to evolve from beginning to end.

It requires a new game to work properly.
