How exactly do you retexture these ? I'm taking the erf file from this and trying to edit it myself using gimp. I export the erf file from this mod, then open the texture dds file in gimp, change what I want, then put it back into erf using erfpacker, then put back in the override.
What am I not doing ? Because the changes don't show.
I like these colors way more than the vanilla version to be sure, but they could also use some texture to them. The black one more so the than the blue. It's just a little too black, slightly lighter with some texture would be great. I know photoshop or giimp should have default "cloth" type textures if you didn't want to do it all by hand.
Love your mods, keep up the good work, hope to see more and more.
Hey would it be possible maybe to get this done in a dark blue, love the black but since this armours about the only one I really use now for my male mages I think a dark blue would look outstanding with black haired blue eyed Hawke lol. If you can I would so appreciate it, I know it's a pain to try n mod something without a toolset, I've tried n lost the patience lol. But if u can't I so understand. Thanks in advance.
I just got to say ty, ty, ty so much. I love the color, looks better on my male Hawke then the origianl color lol. I hate full mage robes n this is just perfect. Thank you so much again.
im afraid i cant help u much when it comes to editing the stats of an item, since i am an artist primarily and most of my mods are retextures. but there are a lot of modders here and on the forums that can help u with it.
I roughly know how to swap the models, but I was under the impression that the files for the DLC items were encrypted. And I'm more trying to make the set evolving than swap the model just for lore reasons (I like the idea of Hawke wearing his father's armor). I have a tutorial for modifying the individual save game, but I'd like to make the armor evolving in every game instead of that individual save. Thanks for your response though. I haven't actually modded anything before, so I'm slowly fiddling with this while trying not to corrupt any files.
@highcastle: yes it's possible to edit their stats. although if it's the look of a certain armor that u want, u can make any armor look like the Fugitive mantle. all u need to do is edit the item_variations.gda with the GffEditor. there is a great tutorial on how to do it here http://www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2240.
