I can't even download this because it opens ME3Tweaks? Which is clearly not the mod manager I'm trying to get at? Odd, it wants me to use a mod manager... to install a mod manager 🤨

It works on my end but meh. Easier to just manually put stuff in the override folder yourself. I don't see a single benefit to using this.
Downsides are that you can't put zipped files into the manager cause it won't unpack them. It will just put the .zip/.7z/.rar inside of the override folder.
You can install the multiple mod more than once even if it says that it's already installed and then cause duplicates in the "installed mods" panel.
And worst of all, for me, is that unlike the DA:O Mod Manager, you can't check which mods conflict with each other. That was the biggest reason why I used the Mod Manager in DA:O.

Just skip this and do it manually, less ways to make a mistake that way.

What's the different between the simple mod tab and the Configurable Mod tab and how do I know what to use for which mod?

Some people are finding this isn't working. It's working for me (on Win 10). It works very similarly to the DAO mod manager, it's just more basic in its functionality.

Ensure you have the requirements (the dot Net thing - should come with Win 10 I believe, but check), unzip to a folder somewhere that's not UAC controlled (e.g. its own folder in the C: root, or on another drive), double click on the .exe, then set up the paths in the Settings tab (the first path to your My Documents\Bioware\Dragon Age 2\packages\core\override folder, the second to wherever you want to store the mods created by the prog).

Then, similarly as you'd do with an override package in the DAO mod manager, you go to the Create Simple Mod tab, point the Core Files Folder field to the unzipped folder of the mod you want to use (that contains the mod's .erf files), fill in the other fields with whatever, hit Create.

Then go back to the first tab (Mods), and the new mod should have appeared in the bottom pane, ready to install. Right click on the icon and select Install, and then the mod will appear in the top Left pane, and will work in the game (again, this works much like creating an override mod in the DAO mod manager).

I haven't tried this process with the Configurable Mods tab, but this process certainly works for basic mods with .erfs (e.g. the HD pack - note the 1.6gb version takes some time to create the mod, then install it, while the prog shows "not responding" - but it will do it eventually).

I'm very late in starting DA2. Was hoping this mod manager would work pretty much like the one I had for DAO, but I never even got that far. Can't even install it. Clicking on the .exe file does nothing but freeze windows explorer.

For me, it has the same problems as everybody's comments. Mods aren't visible in the library. There are no messages indicating whether or not any action you take is even successful. Doesn't remember created mods. Nothing. Don't download.

Save your time and don't download this. Does nothing, except take up space. The comments below clearly show this. And it is an insult to DAO ModManager. That mod actually works.
