I was having a problem when I used this mod in conjunction with a runspeed mod. Some characters (Anders and Sebastian, but not Aveline) retained their original default outfit even when I equipped them with different gear.
What worked for me was using the "Modest Run Speed Increase" mod. It only changes your speed from 6 to 7 but that´s all you need to stop the game feeling sluggish. I hope this helps someone else because it was such a relief for me not to have to choose between two great mods!
I realize that the author won't read this, but if anyone wants to play an old game like me, be aware that this mod for some reason (I don't know why the author did it) changes the femHawke's home clothes. To fix this in the comments below other users gave a hint. The author of the mod of course thank you for his work, but about all the changes should be written on the mod page. It took me a long time to figure out which mod put this... um... dress on my Hawke.
I started using this mod after doing a bit of the game, and now all my original companions have a ton of armor. After reading I see that its because they are keeping the armor they had before the mod was turned on. I would rather not start a new game, but I also don't want the game to be super easy with Aveline having 70 percent armor. Is there any way to remove the stats that they had from before?
I would recommend the mod Companions Armors For Hawke Standalone. This way you can equip Isabela, Anders, and Sebastian their vanilla armors. I did it and it worked. https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonage2/mods/3081
if someone could please remove the finery that comes with this, i would really appreciate it. or point me in the direction of a mod without the finery.
have you found a way to remove the finery yet? If so please share ^^ I love this mod but really hate the finery and using other finery mods doesnt work with this one installed
I found a solution! Download GDA Editor here: http://social.bioware.com/project/755/
Use it to open the file apr_base_dafun_EYPv3A_unlock.gda
There are 2 entries labeled "PC-Home". In my file, they were the 3rd and 4th lines. Change the line for human female to: art/characters/playercharacter/humanfemale/cth_homa. (They should be forward slashes, not backslashes, but the site keeps deleting them. Just look at the line for human male; they should match except for gender.) When I did this, the finery mod I wanted to use loaded properly.
I realize this may never be useful to anyone given the years, but I thought I'd just point out the following. Since files that mod the same things override each other in alphabetical order, you can fix this finery issue easily by renaming the "apr_base_dafun_EYPv3A_unlock.gda" file to something like "z_apr_base_dafun_EYPv3A_unlock.gda" so that whatever other Finery mod you're trying to use will override it. Assuming, of course, that mod's file name doesn't also begin with a "Z". If you do this, you don't have to go through all the trouble of editing the file via a GDA editor. I have, for instance, SG's Finery Shop installed, and it works with this mod installed because I renamed the file above as I noted. I hope this eventually helps someone. :)
