Great idea, but it's a shame this mod reverts the balancing changes introduced by patch 1.03. I've just created my own mod that fixes this which you can find here:
    www.nexusmods.com/dragonage2/mods/4350/
Hopefully this helps anyone still looking to remove the point requirements but maintain the talent and spell changes

Thanks for sharing your mod link. Tbh I never got around to updating this mod for future game patches because I found other mods that basically did the same thing as this one, only better. I probably should just remove this one from the nexus.

it's worth noting that this mod makes additional changes to at least one ability; in base 1.04 cleave/claymore has a 75% damage increase and 10% chance to inflict stagger. this mod ups the damage to 100% increase and stagger chance to 40%. there may be other alterations I haven't tracked down yet. I would like a 'clean' version of this mod which only removes the point requirements but leaves the abilities with their original figures.

Hi. Thanks for this great mod. Now I feel it is pretty balanced for me on Nightmare difficulty.

However, with the latets patch, 1.04, some ability should now be nerfed, like Anders ability that reduce cooldown to 90%. However, with your mod, the cooldown is 80%, just like before 1.03. Could you make the latest mod which is suitable with the latest patch? Thanks.

Hey, can you please make a version that deletes the skill required before them too?

I mean, i want to use only ICE spells and get the final passive upgrade for them, without buying the crappy FLAME spells.

    Pretty please? xD

The only thing I could think of would be to take a clean abi_base from the newest patch and reapply the changes from this mod. I've been really uninspired by DA2 ever since my 2nd playthrough, so I can't make any promises on when or if I will be updating this mod.

Thx for quick response. I have found funny thing- clean abi_base.gda already sets Walking Bomb's damage to 100%. And every other mod (which i've found) which plays with this file, didn't change this. Line to correct-> float_5, it should be set to 0.5 instead of 1. Just checked and it works so far.

Edit: Now I know what's going on. "Clean" abi_base.gda reverts changes from patch 1.03. So it affects alot more skills too;/ Any idea how to workaround this?

I just checked and it does do this. I was new to modding when I made this, so I must have flubbed something up, probably by using a file that was already edited.

If you want to just make the changes yourself to a clean abi_base file, then use GDApp to change the value in the the column labeled "prereq_investment" to "0" for all the appropriate abilites.

I will likely be releasing a newer and better version of this soon anyway now that you caught that problem. So you can fix your file yourself or wait for the updated version.

Hi, I know that this mod had been here for a while but maybe someone would be able to help. My problem is that this mod also changes (atleast) one spell- Walking Bomb (makes it to deal 100% damage instead of 50%). I have no idea how to change this. I know how to edit this mod's files but can't find the line which responds to spells damage. If someone could give me a piece of advice how to deal with it I would be grateful- which line to edit/ giving me "clean" .gda without spell changes (don't know how to do it myself)/ or any other fix or workaround.

Glad you found it useful . That requirement in Spirit Healer was left there intentionally. You need the sustainable to use the abilities anyway, so I didn't see any benefit to changing them. I believe I did the same for a few other abilites that require an active sustainable to be used.

Great Mod! Still have some point requirements in Spirit Healer, but only that one. Maybe there is conflict with my other mods, though... Still endorsing!
