@Monkeysnest: I just recently started texture modding. There's a bit of hair pulling involved at first because of a few things. I'll try to make a post on the forums that details the process from start to finish with pictures and instructions.
i haven't mod'd since DA:O was new, but at that time erf files couldn't be unpacked. it was a way of protecting your code. that might have changed.
If you can get me whatever files you have, i'll turn it into a standalone. pack it all up in a zip or use the toolset to make a builder to builder package or whatever.
Unfortunately I don't have time to work on the mod myself these days. I certainly don't have any problem if someone else wants to go ahead and turn it into a standalone version.
We don't actually have access to mesh files yet (that I'm aware of anyway, I haven't been reading up on it for a while) so it's only the texture files that would be needed...and most modders would have the tools to open my mods erf files to access them.
I don't have the link off hand but a little searching should locate any number of pages that discuss what program is needed to open erf files to access the texture files inside. So certainly, if you want to use them to create a standalone version yourself or encourage someone else to, by all means do so.
these are beautiful outfits. thanks for sharing them. but they don't work with some other useful mods like "equip your party".
Any chance you can == make a standalone version so that it can still be used? == or release the meshes and image files, etc, so i (or someone) can create a standalone version?
enigmalost: Not sure I'll be much of a help but for what it's worth:
There's a thread on the social bioware site that discusses where the texture files can be found...as well as a download that gives the files identifying names (since many of them are by default just a bunch of numbers).
I use paint.net to save my texture files, and my settings are on DXT5, cluster fit (for the compressor type), and I select the option to "generate MP maps".
I managed to modify Bethany's texture but I did it from another file.
Where are all the character textures? I've looked on the forums, in the folders for the game itself and found nothing. I opened up high and medium texture folders, unpacked them but only found object textures.
What were the save settings you used for the DDS files? The texture I made for Bethany cut her dress a little lower. When I saw her in game it looked like she had scotch tape on her boobs. It was kinda shiny.

I downloaded the mod via NMM, when I install it I get the default mod, which shows off more waist.
When I choose one of the optional .erf files and copy it to the override folder, it has no effect. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?
[EDIT] I also tried uninstalling the mod from NMM and doing it manually with no success.

It should work just fine. This mod only affects the outfit, so won't conflict with a file that is only a head morph.
I just wonder if someones knows if I can use one of Dark Celtic Isabela head found her:
