For those having issues with tactic slots disappearing (especially with Custom Number of Tactic Slots mod https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonage/mods/1480), the issue is the party member needs to have at least 1 skill point assigned to the Combat Tactics skill. Without at least 1 point, this mod will break tactic slots.

So, to ensure things don't break, do the following

    • Make sure to assign one skill point to combat tactics (not as much of an issue to waste a point since the level cap is higher).
    • If you don't want to waste a skill point for some reason slot, use the Add Any Item Visual Deluxe mod and use the developer console to execute runscript get sund to get a Tome of Skill and Sundry for each of the characters you wish to use.
    • If you're using the Extra Dog Slot mod, or the Dog in general, you'll need to assign the Combat Tactics skill to the dog via the developer console.
    • Select the Dog in the overworld, then execute runscript addtalent 100110 to grant the first rank of Combat Tactics to the dog.
    • You'll need to do the same for Shale as well

Shooting blind here, but i hope there are people who still read this comment section.

Need help because not working, doesnt getting that 25 tactic slot.
Since this mod consist of exptable.gda and properties.gda, is it not compatible with Combat Tweak ? Because Combat Tweak has kind of similar files called exptable_ct.gda and properties_ct.gda

If you have both this mod's exptable.gda and Combat Tweaks exptable_ct.gda in your override folder then only one of the files will be effective. As you're not seeing the 25 tactic slots then most likely Combat Tweaks' exptable_ct.gda is in effect. You can simply delete exptable_ct.gda so the game will use this mod's exptable.gda. NB I'm not using this mod so YMMV. However I do use Even More Advanced Tactics 50 tactics slots exptable.gda to replace Combat Tweaks'.

I don't know what properties.gda does, but using it to replace Combat Tweaks properties_ct.gda should work.

Don't know if anyone will see this, but:  I'm about to play Awakenings for the first time, and all of the Origins characters I would like to use are above the Awakenings level cap because I used this mod and played a bunch of extra content. Does anyone know what happens when you try to import a level 40 character into the DLC with a level 35 level cap? I guess I could start a level 18 in Awakenings, but I'd rather not. Any thoughts?

Don't know if this is too late, but i just tested this myself out of curiosity.

You can savely import a character beyond level 35 and retain everything that char had. I imported a Level 38 char with 3 specs and he was exactly the same in Awakening.

All sounds good except for "25 tactics slots immediately""

Sounds like a cheat, since normaly you`d have to up your "Combat Tactics" ability to gain that.

It should be found under <ocuments>\BioWare\Dragon Age\packages\core\override.

I'm a little bit confused with the installation. Should i paste the files in packages/core/override or make a new folder in packages called override and paste it there?

Found out the description is wrong, the files go into packages/CORE/override

Quick doubt, is there a way to edit separately Origins and awakening level caps? Such as, Origins 35 and Awakening 50
