    Does anyone know how I can remove the "One Handed" feature? It's annoying whenever I use Combat Magic being an Arcane Warrior (also using the Arcane Warrior Plus Weapons mod) and the secondary weapon/or shield disappears

      yeah i too want to know how to remove the summoned offhand item, did you ever figured it out?

      if anybody is still interested i managed to find a way to remove the "hand" item spawn by combat magic WHILE keeping the spell intact, what you need to do is simply to go to Documents\Bioware\Dragon Age\packages\core\override\Arcane_Arts and DELETE the following files (or just simple move them from the folder):

      aw_hand_arcanearts.uti
      AWHand_variation.GDA
      BITM_base_ArcaneArts.GDA
      ItemStats_ArcaneArts.GDA
      M2DA_base_ArcaneArts.GDA

      that should disable the summoned object while keeping the spell usable as normal (i even managed to get the blue flames on my offhand weapon), granted i did NOT tested whether the 4 melee attack spells added by this mod are still usable this way since i used the GDApp to remove said spells before attempting this (i just hate how some modded abilities do not reset after using a manual of focus, which was the case with these spells).

      UPDATE: i reinstalled the mod to make the test for the melee skills for arcane warrior and i reached the following conclusions, ALL the skills DO work with a sword & shield style, but its a different story for the other styles, in the case of dual wield only Salient Rebuke and Lambent Blade WILL work, while as for 2 handed weapons ONLY Salient Rebuke WILL work, lastly the single weapon style is a curious case if you do what i did to remove the offhand item spawned by combat magic it behaves the same way as with dual wield (only Salient Rebuke and Lambent Blade are usable) so you may not want to delete (or move) the files listed above if you want to focus on a single weapon user (if you want to be able to use Soulbreaker and Ephemeral Cestus that's it, though you can also do that if you use the invisible shield mod), so in short if you have deleted (or moved) the files from above AND want to use weapon styles different from sword & shield just be ready to have many of your melee skills as not usable (or just use the GDApp tool to remove the melee spells so that way you can use whatever you want without feeling that you are missing out...).

      UPDATE 2: i did some more tinkering with the mod using the GDApp tool, for one i managed to change Salient Rebuke's and Lambent Blade's stat requirement to magic instead of dexterity, i simply went to the "prereqattribute" colunm and changed the value there from 2 to 4 (2 being Dexterity and 4 being magic), i also edited Combat Magic to no longer require having a melee weapon equipped basically bringing that part of its functionality back to vanilla, i simply went to the "conditions" column and changed the value there from 1 to 0 (1 being "requires a melee weapon equipped" and 0 being "no weapon required") it also had the nice side effect of allowing Salient Rebuke to be used with ANY weapon equipped (since it requires to have Combat Magic active but has no real weapon requirements to use) including staves, bow and crossbows (though using the last 2 as an Arcane Warrior is rare considering that bows require high dexterity and NEED their respective talents to be effective (basically worthless for us) and crossbows while usable (since they do not scale with anything and have a strength requirement that Combat Magic CAN supply) are rather subpar when compared to staves which DO scale with our magic stat.

      And when you deleted those files, the blue flame weapon started to work?

      I always use those along with this mod

      sorry to answer this so late, the blue flame has always worked for me so i truly do not know why it didn't worked for you... and as for the other mod well i have never used it (and being quite honest its not really my cup of tea either...) so you'll have to figure it out on your own, again sorry

      I deleted the said files in my override, and as far as i observed, you cannot use skills which requires punching like Soulbreaker and Ephemeral Cestus while Salient Rebuke and Lambent Blade is working.

      that's because they are NOT punching skills but modified shield skills from the base game, basically they all still retain the need to have a shield equipped to be used, those files you deleted were the ones that spawn the "hand item" (which is basically a shield with no stats or graphics to simulate that you are punching) that allows you to use them in the base version of this mod, and by removing them the only way for the abilities to be used is for you to equip a shield (something i remember pointing out in the first "UPDATE" section of my post) and the only ones exempt from this shield requirement are "Lambent Blade" (which only requires that you have a 1 handed melee weapon in the main hand) and "Salient Rebuke" (which doesn't has a weapon requirement but rather and ability/talent one which again is something i explained in the "UPDATE2" section of my post).

    Is there a way I can get just the Arcane Warrior changes? I don't like all of the things this mod does, but I do like the new AW skills.

    Pardon me but there seems to be no blue flames engulfing my sword, yet i have unlocked the passive ability Mana sheath. Any insights as to how I can remedy this? I have tried switching Combat Magic on and off yet there seems to be no changes. I have also tried overwriting Combat Tweaks between with the one with PAR and the one without. Yet, again it remains persistent.

    a rather nice mod I must say.


    Edit: Oh it's okay. The blue flames appeared. I just placed it in the documents Great work !

      No, I honestly forgot. I remember wanting to do a Magik look alike from X-men and as memory serves right, I had the blue flames with my sword (and a pack of demons at my back) but I honestly can't remember how I did it. Now I'm stuck, I can't even decode my own comment. This is such a doozy.

      Nothing more frustrating when people come back and comment "never mind I figured it out" and don't put anything else. lol. Lesson here: You always have to put what you did when you got back to comment on a thread :)
      I just started playing again so I'm going to try and figure it out. If I do, I'll post back with what I find.
      PS. I was thinking the same about making it look like Magik of the New Mutants

      One thing I noticed though is that Combat Magic I think isn't using the same icon as seen here in the pictures, perhaps that's a clue? Perhaps there's a mod affecting it? Completely uninstalling CT doesn't work, with or without PAR, same with AA Addons. Tried uninstalling Evocation too, still nope. Does your icons match with this mod page's pictures.

      I think the mod conflicts with any mod that changes item material and mods that "retexture-izes" items, meaning, the blue flames will only appear if you are using the base (or original) appearance of a weapon.

    Really nice mod, thank you. I'm having issues with Combat Magic, all the tooltips have changed to your mod but i still have the 50% fatigue from combat magic.

    Edit, Combat tweaks + AA patch was affecting it. Now fixed by removing them.

    I dont know if anyone is still reading these, but if so, dous anyone now some whay to "unghost" the skill fade shroud as an arcane warrior. becouse right now im only just vissible wen out of combat an when in combat I can hardly find myself. any advise is welcome

    Great work! I have a request, though: Can you make a .dazip with only your arcane warrior changes?

    hey i use meshes for weapons that completely changes them..And everytime i activate combat magic with the mana sheathe ability, i don't get the blue fire surrounding the weapon.Is it because of the meshes, that change the weapons?
