I like black boxes too (have an good old 4:3 screen), but there a solution (2 actually) 1) Open (and/or create) folder My Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\packages\core\override 2) Create a blank file in this folder (new text file or whatever...) 3) rename this as conversation.swf This will cause the game to use the vanilla conversation ui, with black box and default font size. But other changes from this mod will remains. Alternatively you can use the conversation.swf from ftg_uimod01 (in download section) if you want bigger conversation size.
BTW thanks for this mod, now i can read codex and tool tips easily ">
Honestly, I downloaded this just for the Codex Table of Contents (I didn't realize at the time that you had a standalone version of that). It's unbelievably useful when I'm looking for a specific entry. I ended up fiddling with the font sizes too. I love how customizable this mod is. If there's something I don't like, I can disable it or change it to my liking.
Just the clickable Codex ToC is worth an endorsement. All the other features just make it even better.
Grete Mod. Only thing I'm missing are those black boxes visible at top and bottom of screen during dialogs and cutscens. The game looses a bit of it's movie filing on non-wide screens. If you are still taking suggestions for your mod, then I'd like to see an option to turn those boxes back on.
@uN533n you can safely turn this mod on and off. You can loose items only if you do this with other mods that add new items to the game.
FtG UI Mod - More Readable Fonts and UI - Endorsements (80 comments)
Works with patch 1.05. Mod recognize on installed contents.
I install this mod at last time after the game.
OS win 11 4096X2160 HDR off
TV Samsung UE49MU6105 HDR on
GPU RTX 2080 Supergaming XTRIO
Change size policies to 15 like recommended by modder.
Dialogues, maps... have nice size, I can read them easily.
Than you very much for mod. Nice Work.
Been running with this mod for more than three years. No problem at all with game ver. 1,05.

most text in the game is a little to small / hard to read
which is stupid with all those notes they wrote
