I like your stuff. Thank you or your recent contributions to DAO. I plan to use them, including this weapon rebalance. I like your adherence to logical game changes, especially when it just makes sense.
Thank you, that's why I'm doing it, for the Origins players such as yourself. Indeed, I don't want to change things too much, but for example, tweaking some weapons to make them more immersive can only help the game.
Thank you, I mean it. I've always been passionate about Origins as I find it to be one of the best in the genre, truly. May you have good nights of sleep and happy days, friend.
I feel the same about this game, I always have, but with each year I think the game gets even better. So may you have, thank you again, I really appreciate your words.
Armour penetration is only needed against golems, otherwise it is not such an important parameter. I do not use hammers because swords have higher attack speed and there are such cool swords as Starfang or Keening Blade.
There are armoured enemies against whom it can be also useful, and even if there weren't, a blunt weapon should have that blunt power, just for the principle. Well, I'm glad you're telling me what you use, I even recall to have heard about such swords, surprisingly
Do you know if it's possible to increase the minimum and maximum damage of weapons? E.g. longswords top out at 11.20 or so; greatswords at, like, 16-something? The weapon stats are so boring in vanilla because they're all just copy-pasted.
The minimum damage is changed in this mod (the value at Tier 1) and I can certainly change it for all weapon types at any moment. The maximum damage (at Tier 7 in DA:O, except for Starfang, and Tier 9 in DA:A) is governed by each material level, e.g. Tier 1, Iron - damage multiplier 1, Tier 2, Grey Iron - damage multiplier 1.1...), so there's a sense of progression. I could probably look into the material/tier values, but I like them as they are, if there's something to tweak, the base or minimal damage is enough.
Do you wish longswords to have a similar damage like greatswords? I need to understand your idea a bit more.
