This mod is over ten years old, and has been uploaded 'as is'. The modder who created it is no longer modding the game. I can provide basic support for the mod, but I am also no longer modding (or playing) the game.
If you have a request for a new mod, you should post in the DAO Mod Requests forum.
My bad, I didn't realize. Thank you for being a hero and preserving this mod and rescuing it from the annals of history, I think shutting down BSN was a truly crappy thing to do.
I know you mentioned you've uploaded the mod as is, but I've found a bug. When I buy items at tier 7 from Mikhail Dryden or upgrade them by selling then buying back then place items in the Camp Merchant Chest, the item quality / tier downgrades. For example, the Studded Leather Armor [Drakeskin] downgrades to Silverite upon leaving then reentering the camp.
I haven't noticed any lost items, but users of this mod should be aware this mod will downgrade your items. I recommend to keep items you want in the party storage chest in Warden's Keep instead to avoid the downgrading bug.
Any chest or merchant that can alter the material tier of an item may lower it.
The upgrade system targets to a Goldilocks range of tiers keyed to the player character level: lower, higher, and just right. While it generally hits the 'just right' sweet spot, there's always a chance of the item tiering lower than it was originally. (Or even to a higher tier that can't be equipped at the player character's level.)
Most scalable items will change tier (place item in chest, save, reload).
However, it doesn't work at all for some items, even if they will scale via other means. For instance, staves (that have been modded to variable tier) will not change material. The same staves will scale with the Magic Box mod, though.
Thanks, just wanted to know if I could go to the Keep very earlier without that hassle of having to sell the armor later and have to buy stuff like that back at a higher price. Not really using any mods for gear so I don't think that is a concern for me.
Found the chest in the camp but it won't open. Nothing happens when I click it. I have the Vishala merchant mod in the camp. Could it conflict with this?
Not compatible, as both mods directly edit the camp area list (cam100ar_camp_plains.lst).
There is this compatibility patch for using multiple party camp merchant mods: Merchant Compatibility Patch. I have no experience with it, though; it just came up when I searched on 'party camp merchant mod compatibility Dragon Age Origins'.
Superb mod. Really necessary if you don't want to have a headache trying to manage your inventory. Tried it on my last playthrough and I had no issue with it. Thank you very much for sharing it with us.
This is pretty much the best implementation of camp storage out there, and still seems to be working fine. Be wary of conflicts with Auto Loot mods, though I'm using the Autoloot Kills tweak from Dain's Fixpack and it seems to be alright (which makes sense, they shouldn't interact).
thanks for uploading this. It's so stupid that Bioware would include a chest for a warden's keep that is north of the map when they could've just put it in our camp. 1 step forward 2 steps back.
I just installed the mod and was thrilled to see that it was available in the 1st post Lothering Camp. I had a lot of loot from Adopted Dalish Origin (ADO) and was able to stash it there. What I was not happy to see is that the chest won't open after the initial camp scene. I disable all my mods thinking one of them was interacting but it still refused to open. Anyone else have this issue? There are other storage chest mods available but none are usable in the first camp scene. If you have played you will understand why this is important. This looks like a good mod, thanks for preserving it.
'.7z' is a type of compressed archive, similar to a ZIP or RAR archive, created using 7-Zip. It has a higher compression ratio, resulting in a smaller archive package, and so it is popular for mod downloads.
Windows does not have a built-in way to deal with 7Z archives, but there are numerous 3-party softwares which can be used to decompress the archives and extract the contents. I recommend 7-Zip, which is open source and freeware. (In addition to 7Z and ZIP archives, 7-Zip can also handle most any Windows compression format, so it is a very useful application in general.)

If not, what are the other mods you are using, and how were they installed?
