Small edit: I was wondering... Is it possible a MOD that makes all the characters you've recruited make their comments? Not only those who are active in the group, but EVERYONE already recruited, active or not in the group.
Other edit: Hello. Thanks a lot for the MOD in 2023. I saw you commented on another mod *makes other party members speak as well* I tested it too but I have a little problem: I use a translation made by fans and that mod makes the dialogs go back to English. I know it's really ugly to ask about another mod here on yours, but I don't see many MODDERS worrying about an old game. Can you tell me how I edit that mod to use the translation I use? I know which file to edit, but I need any instructions on how to do this. Any article... That's it... sorry for anything if the post is offensive.
Yes, you still have to enter the console command on a new game.
Editing a mod to use a different language is complicated, and I can't really give advice about someone else's mod. Maybe you could try starting at the Dragon Age Toolset Wiki or asking in a DA modding discord.
Thanks for the answer. I discovered a tool that analyzes mods files and changes strings to be compatible with any game languages, including those made by fans!
Hell yeah. I have legitimately played this game over 50 times, and I don't think I've ever seen half of it because it's so finicky. I honestly never even understood just how finicky it was. What a nightmare. Thank you so much.
I also have never seen some of these dialogue options, despite playing this game since it came out and almost always running with Sten. Only now, in 2023, did I even know to install the IA partybark component. Thank you.
Improved Atmosphere, a very large mod, but you can use just the banter tweaks from it if you only extract the files in Improved Atmosphere\4. Companions\4.1. Dialog Changes\Global Dialog Changes to your override. However, each banter point will still only be activated once even with this mod, so if you bring another group there, no one will speak. This means, unfortunately, that it still doesn't fix Sten's dialogue being ridiculously easy to miss. But at least we don't have to worry about it now! :)

Is this necessary even if starting a new game?

I would always get the chantry dialogue and sometimes I would get the Broken Circle dialogue if I had Sten in my party at the time.
