    Conflict with "Dain's Fixes" bug fix "Combat Magic tooltip". Remove "Combat Magic tooltip" folder in that mod. Great mod!

    This mod make zero sense, the game already uses magic instead of spellpower for combat magic spell. "True combat magic" should use spellpower, the all concept of this mod is useless.

      Not true, if you check game scripts you can clearly see that attack is calculated from spellpower.

    Im guessing its not compatible with Combat Tweaks or Dain's Fixes? :)

      if it overwrites a file it will use one over the other.

    Thank you very much for this. It seems like such an easy change, but I have never been able to find a lightweight version like this before.
    My only request is could you make it so that the spell glow doesn't appear? I usually fix this with the Annoyance Remover; however, this mod appears to override that.

      Glad you like it!
      I'm using Dain's Fixes, which also hide spells VFX and it works just fine. Take a look on it, you can use it without rest of the mod.

    Could you make a version of this similar to Cheaper Combat Magic? The 50% fatigue on top of the 60 mana upkeep is just not fun to play with.

      huh I totally forgot about the 50/50 base cost of combat magic. I have a mod that reduces upkeep to 0 and fatigue to 25 so you aren't bottled into blood mage to be able to cast. may have even been a personal mod. I completely forgot how to fiddle with the numbers of this game.

    a good quality of life mod. I learned to compensate by building around maximizing +attack on my mage and preparing debuffs for elites to nerf their defense. lack of accuracy is definitely an issue the other classes don't run into on quite the same level. Personally I learned to appreciate it after my first dedicated mage playthrough as an arcane warrior, I learned what spells were good early on every class and how to build an optimized party. the game even on nightmare realistically doesn't punish very hard if you just cover the bases. I mean there's literally a spell called mana clash which 1 shots mages and trivializes most of the mage tower and any encounter with a mage in the back line, leaving just the melees to deal with one by one after pelting them with a fireball. 

    I wish more games like this would come out tbh. Old school rpg but that isnt a blatant ripoff of the genre like some of the recent titles that had no heart or story. I can still play these pre 2005 games and feel completely sucked into these worlds.
