That's odd, I haven't had any report of that before - or run into it myself. Are you trying to load the game in a heavy spot, like Denerim, Orzammar Commons, or Ostagar? That can be an issue regardless of having this mod or not. For those saves, you have to load a different save in a less resource-intensive place, and then from there load the save you were having difficulty with. If you don't have the 4GB/LAA patch installed you should definitely get it, but it won't solve all difficulties of this sort.
it just crashes regardless of any save i load, my latest save being in lothering :/, it works again when i remove this. i have the 4gb patch, i'm not entirely sure what the issue is. i'll update this post if i figure it out
Very odd! I can't see which version of the mod you have on nexus, but I assume it's bloom on? I wonder if maybe your game is almost overloaded in general and turning off the bloom downsizing just pushes jt over the limit perhaps. Let me know if you work anything out!
Hi! Thank you for the mod. Maybe I didn't understand your instructions, but it's needed to apply "Pixelated Shaders Begone" first with DAOModmanager and then apply 1 of your options (bloom or not bloom)?
If not, can I ask to put a briefly numbered guide with the steps to apply the mod?
Hiya! I would not install manual mods (the ones that just go in your override folder) with a mod manager, myself. For manual mods, you only need to put the files in a folder in your override folder, and they'll work.
As to this mod, you are correct in that you should install Pixelated Shaders Begone first and then replace the da_bloom.ffx.xml file from it with one of my mod's options.
I gather that the best and most stable approach for managing mods is this:
Install and manage manual mods (that go in your override folder) manually.
Install .dazip mods with daupdater.exe (comes with DAO, located in the bin_ship folder)
Manage .dazip mods with DAO-ModManager
Install and manage .override mods (not to be confused with manual mods - this is a filetype) with DAO-ModManager, since the format is native to that program.
Hope that helps! Let me know if anything's confusing.
