For some reason the chargen compiler only compiles SOME chargen files to work together. Some hair files can work even with multiple other hair files, and some cannot, simply because of the chargen file design.
Best to use only one, it seems like most mods draw from just the one even if you have multiple. I don't feel like multiple chargen files actually makes a difference in the override, you can just overrite them.
No matter what I do I can't get it to work. No other chargen file in overrides. I use vortex primarily, but I did this manually as well. They show up in the game but the hairs are invisible as if there's no mesh. Just the back of their heads are open. Also I don't have any other hair mod enabled when I try getting this to work, but the minute I enable another one they work, just not this one.
I think people have said not to use vortex with this game. I don't know how Vortex works, but try to uninstall the mod with it and then install it manually. The mod should work once you place it in your override and copy-paste the chargen lines into your chargen file.
Thank you so much for replying, I had no idea. All my mods work so I thought it was standard to use vortex. Unfortunately I get the same result doing it manually. I don't know if its my chargen file, I'll try getting a new one somewhere.
Edit: I got it to work briefly, but I couldn't change the hair color at all. Think I'm gonna give up since my whole system is messed up from vortex. But from what I saw they were lovely!
First of all, I really like these hairs, I'm a fan of the 'clay' hair in sims and these felt like they matched the theme of the game well. Second, the Briana hair for female elf, floats above the head quite a bit, leaving a large space between the head and the hair. Thanks for the mod and I'll still endorse them.
hi Samsaidhi i got the same bug i fixed it by editing my chargenmorphcfg.xml in section you should have : ef_har_ah00bbriana_0 , and not hf_har_ah00bbriana_0
Just wanted to add my appreciation for these fantastic hairstyles. My Cousland in adorable as a result. The 'chunky' feel to them is perfect, rather than the sad wispy original styles and they are so beautifully designed and fitted.
So thank you so much!! And thank you from my baby Cousland too. :) o/
This and the miikocc hairs you posted recently are some of the best hair mods I've ever seen for this game. They're just the right size for the models, and they color so nicely. This will definitely be a staple mod for me from now on.
Best hairstyles added to the game so far! I never realized how few curly/wavy hairstyles EXIST in video games in general until I got my hair permed! Now I can actually have my own hair in the game (danielle)! Thank you <3

*As it turns out, I'd installed it wrong, somehow! Works wonderfully now. TY!
