Hi hello. I'm using the steam version, and when I open the bat file it prompts me to press any key and when I do it just closes. Isn't it supposed to show what's fixed and then prompt again that it is successful press any key? I'm confused if it has patched or not please help
Appears this doesn't work anymore:( Steam may have updated something to be compatible with Origin launcher that broke this a while back. Anyone confirm this?
Apologies for not having replied to you sooner, Lalitendu. I would also love to know if blakeyo11 could please share how they patched the memory leaks.
Please see this Steam Guide I found: Making DA: Origins LAA (Steam) and see if you can use the DLC Transfer To Awakening Patch AFTER following the guide.

Your tool is still having this issue for the steam version even after I followed the guide you posted, both from downloading the patched .exe and patching it myself.
Is it working, or is it broken?
Found the fix. I needed to use the 4gb patch tool on the .exe that Steam gave me- the ones provided in the guide are incompatible with your tool. Good thing I kept a backup of the entire folder before messing with it!
Can confirm Galcyon is right, ONLY download the 4 gb patch. Follow the guide to download it yourself insofar as: 1. Extract both (4 gb Pacth) downloaded .zips and you'll be left with two One files: "daorigins.exe" AND "4gb_patch.exe". 2. Move the "daorigins.exe" file into: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Dragon Age Ultimate Edition\bin_ship\ (left not struck for ease locating file) 3. Run the "4gb_patch.exe" file and browse for the "daorigins.exe" file you just moved NEVER ALTERED 4. Once located, select it, and then you're all done!!
Hi, I've noticed a couple of bugs with the Feastday gifts items. In the Original campaign: Butterfly Sword (item version) is missing it's name and description [it's name looks like (val_im_wep_mel_gsw_stn) ] Also, there's missing text on a lot of descriptions. The Roaring Drunk buff has no name or description, and many of the items with a "Use: x" line in their description have no text after "Use:". This is seen in items like the Brandy and Flask, Fat Lute, Stick, Amulet of Memories. I've tracked it down to this mod as removing the "FIX_DLC" override folder fixes the issues.
Also, there seems to be some issue with the Beard Flask in Awakening. Besides the other two mentioned issues of the buff missing text and the blank "Use:" line, it seems like the item is consumable and can only be used once. The actual buff is still applied correctly and gives the proper +2 strength boost, and the animation works, though. Scented Soap, on the other hand, fully works as expected. I haven't tested the Stick and Protective Cone for Dog in Witch Hunt.
Would really love if these issues could be fixed or a guide could be made to correct them myself. I've been creating mods that incorporate these items into the campaigns better but I'm kinda out of my element with these kind of modifications :)
I myself am out of my element here, too. This updated tool (created BY the community FOR the community) is just what I pulled from various places to try and have a 1-Stop Shop (of sorts) for people who need the tool. If you find ANYTHING that might help to fix it, or if you make a fix yourself - consider letting me know and I can update the tool or just upload the fix as an "update file"
Gotcha, I'll probably get around to investigating further at some point. The solution should be something "right there", considering these issues don't affect every item, e.g the Scented Soap correctly has the proper "Use:" tag, even in Awakening, and other Equipment such as Ugly Boots and Maric's Shield don't have the name issue Butterfly Sword does.
Hmm do you perhaps have a list of all the creators who contributed to this? I'd love to try and reach out to them and get to the bottom of this. I tried to poke at it myself but I don't know how to repackage these files into erf files since the toolset seems to reject DLC items. I noticed the Butterfly Sword isn't included at all in the designeritems2.erf in the Feastday pranks DLC_FIX override which is probably why that item has no name or description. Generally, it seems like every instance of a description or text line that's new to the DLC is disappearing completely. So this includes things on feastday items like 'High Morale', 'low morale', 'rainbow power', 'attracts butterflies', all of the new 'Use:' tags, but even more annoyingly it seems to break them on modded items as well. I put 'High Morale' on a custom armor in one of my mods and I was really confused why the description was bugging out until now.
@Soulbringer1, go to DLC Transfer To Awakening Patch (ORIGINAL MOD) and download either (or both) of the texture hack files in the [Optional Files] section in order to disable the "Warden's Keep" and/or the "Return to Ostagar" textures --- so that you can see the "Awakening" textures in your game, instead.
Scroll all the way down to find links to the DLC. The webpage also provides instructions for manual installation, required since the Bioware site for downloading content is no longer available. You'll need to edit some of the manifest.xml files for the content to be authorized for use in the game (RequiresAuthorization="0").
"This" must mean this mod because the other is from 2010, I was re-reading that too but it wouldn't make sense for the author to tell us to use an older mod.
Ah yes, I'll just remove that segment (I copied and pasted from the original mod page for reference). Use OUR mod instead of the OLD one mentioned here. This mod was created BY the community FOR the community
I believe "this" refers to the previously mentioned/linked Starfang/Vigilance graphics fix. Using context from the preceding paragraph, in which Mad Method (the original author of DLC Transfer to Awakening Patch) mentions a texture hack (Warden's Keep Texture Hack) they added to the file page to address concerns about textures in Warden's Keep, but goes on to admit that it isn't the greatest solution, the addendum is recommending the Starfang/Vigilance graphics fix over their Warden's Keep Texture Hack, if aesthetics is enough of a concern for the user, during that particular segment, at least.
Just a reminder, silencer711 copied-and-pasted much of the description from Mad Method's mod page, so the description is, primarily, Mad Method (not silencer711) describing their mod. Silencer711 revised Mad Method's mod to fix some issues and, if I understand correctly, updated it to work on GOG, Origin, and Steam.
Also, the description starts out with differences between Mad Method's mod and KigenAngelo's mod, so I think Mad Method was merely reiterating the difference with respect to Warden's Keep.

I also recommend going to DLC Transfer To Awakening Patch (ORIGINAL MOD) and perhaps scouring the comments section for clues, as the creator has not been active since 2012.
What should I do ?

old DLC fix undo tool also removes KigenAngelo's Awakening fixes (including this one)."

I hope this makes sense.
