Dragon Age: Origins: Awakening

Return to Ostagar DLC (for the Cailan's Helm part of the fix; the Soldier's Heavy Helm is a base game item)

=================
Description:
=================

For some weird reason, Bioware included (in the Awakening assets) a useless file that changes the appearance of both the Origins Heavy Soldier's Helm and Cailan's Helm (from the RTO DLC): both helms take on the appearance of the DAA item 'Helm of Hirol's Defense', which uses the same model but a different texture.

The included files will override those from Awakening, restoring Cailan's helm to its resplendent purple-plumed glory. (Ditto the Heavy Soldier's Helm, which uses the same files.)

=================
Installation:
=================

Place the 'tsm_cailan_helm_daa' folder in the game's manual override folder, i.e., [drive letter]:\[user]\Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\packages\core\override

=================
To Un-Install:
=================

Delete the 'tsm_cailan_helm_daa' folder.

=================
Known Issues and Caveats:
=================

Should not be used in conjunction with Phylarion's surely superior 'Cailan's Helm Fix', which is apparently no longer available with the removal of the Bioware Social Network's projects area. (And why would you even want my garbage of a mod if you can have the real thing from a real modder, hmmmm?)

Will conflict any mod that edits

Random notes:
=================

Why, Bioware? Why?

This was a stupidly simple fix... all that was needed was to create an override with the DAO material file, for use in DAA.
