Honestly this is fantastic, a must-have for immersion. It's also a good reminder to people that Alistair isn't white, so that's a plus. Thank you so much.
@lesbunny I agree that Alistair isn't white but please stop lying because you know most people won't go read the books to confirm. No, Fiona is not described as dark skinned in the books, that is objectively not true. If you have to lie to prove your point then maybe it isn't valid.
Finally I can take Alistair into the Fade. I think the same as you and my solution was always leave him behind during this part because of how the Goldanna thing is presented here. Alistair could imagine some nephews and nieces and have its logic that he has some antecipation and feelings about meeting his long lost sister... BUT since he never met her, it has some logic that he would imagine her as some sort of female version of him instead of how she really looks. Especially since later, can't remember where it says but it's revealed that he is not the servant's son but that he is the son of the elf warden Fiona making him half elf... I don't remember what or if it says anything about Goldanna there but I'm assuming that that also means that she isn't his real sister too... I will be using this mod in the future. Thank You.
This is true. There was another bastard baby from king Maric but this baby did in fact die (Just like Goldanna said). This baby was the half brother of Goldanna (mothers side) and also half brother of Alistair (fathers side) but Alistair and Goldanna have no blood ties other than having had a half sibling in common.
Alistair is confirmed as Fiona's son with Maric, and Goldanna is not Fiona or Maric's child so they have no blood in common.
We have no evidence that there is an additional baby that is Maric's. It's a theory, but it's certainly not as concrete as you make it sound. It's possible that Goldanna's mother and her baby did in fact die in childbirth but Maric had nothing to do with it.
Playing Inquisition, I've always assumed, that Fiona was that serving girl, after all she went through a lot - mage - Warden - kicked out of the Wardens order (somehow dealt with the taint), so she could also at some point serve under Maric and they got to know each other. What Goldana said about her "mother's death", you know, they also told her about the baby, which then came into the light, that "the babe didn't die" (= Alistair). But that would make Goldana Fiona's daughter, and she's not, is she? So it's quite confusing. When did Maric meet Fiona? Who was Goldana's mother? Was there another "babe"? Questions after questions. And no answers in sight.
A reversed version of this mod would be great too. I mean, Goldanna isn't even related to Alistair, why would she look exactly like him? I think the fade sequence would be better as the actual Goldanna model, but the real Goldanna be modded like this. They look like twins despite not being related. It's always really bugged me.
Well.. they aren't actually related, so it makes sense that her denerim model doesn't look like him. But Alistair thinks they're related, so it makes perfect sense that his dream version of her would look more like him
It always bothered me that fade!Goldanna looks like real!Goldanna since from an RP perspective I can't go to Denerim before the Tower and Redcliffe. It makes total sense that Alistair would picture his 'sister' as being someone who looks like him (and it ties into his longing for a family and place to belong).
It makes sense that Alistair wouldn't have guessed how Goldanna would look, especially since they hadn't met and he wasn't related to her. I'm going to use this mod in my next play-through since she looks more like Alistair. :)
It'd also be cool to have a young human-eared Fiona version, but with Alistair's skin tone and eye color.
Maybe Alistair had some subconscious memories of his mother that affect what he imagines his sister looks like.
[I know too little Russian to understand your message so I had to use Google Translate]
Are you having some sort of problem in Denerim? Sorry to hear that. I've done some testing and everything works fine in my game, no crashes whatsoever. :/
Has anyone else experienced any problems or crashes in Denerim with my mod installed?
Thank you! It always bothered me so much that the Goldannas were the same even though we never met her. I would actually go to Denerim before going to the circle every time just because it annoyed me so much (and then I'd be annoyed because Alistair doesn't want anything to do with her anymore. Why is he still dreaming of her?!) . I am glad I am not the only one. Thank you so much for making this.

for IronAlcoholic: I recommended check your other mods and install 4Gb patch, just in case.
