First of all, I love these hairstyles <3
I see that some people have been having crashing issues when trying to start a new game (me too) and I think I've possibly found the problem. I noticed that the chargenmorph file has extra heads for human male and human female, the male one is called Dandelion and the female one is called Lara2v2. Scrolling over to these presets in the character creation crashes the game. I manually deleted them from the chargenmorph and the crashing stopped for me.
    I hope this helps :)

Thank you so much for sharing that! It is my mistake I haven't deleted those presets from the file, so sorry for that. I'll stick this post.

I noticed a lot of people commenting on problems with crashing--I was having the same issue where, with random hairstyles as the only mod in my overrides folder, the game would crash upon starting a new game. I've found a fix (that works for me, anyhow):

Install the optional file, Cassandra redone. Now, move the chargenmorph file in the main Hair01 folder onto your Desktop. Go through the Cassandra redone-4795-1-1 folders until you get to the very end; there's another chargenmorph file there. Open it. Now, from the ORIGINAL chargenmorph file, copy and paste all the lines that refer to the modded hairs into the Cassandra redone-4795-1-1 chargenmorph file. Paste these new lines of XML underneath the line that says "<resource name="hf_har_cassandra_0" cut="1" />". Save it. This should allow the game to load the character creator and have the hairs appear.

Note: You can also try deleting the lines "<resource name="HM_Dandelion.mop" />" and "<resource name="HF_lara2v2.mop" />" from "<heads>" in the original .xml file, since they seem to be the only difference between the two chargenmorph files, but I didn't work for me (and seemingly hasn't for others). So I would suggest just adding the resource name lines from the original to the Cassandra redone .xml file to fix the issue.

Oh so that is the reason for crashes! Totally my fault. Thank you so much for figuring this out. These heads are leftovers, one from Witcher inspired mod and other one is my warden. I will stick this post here.

Is there no way we could get these on other Races, specifaclly Elves? I've tried duplicating the files and renaming them with ef_ and em_ and duplicating their records in the chargenmorphcfg file, but because the height of the elf is lower than a human I got an empty head with a hovering skulp.

Unfortunately no, unless the hairstyle is adapted to a specific race it would not be compatible.

Hi, first, thank you for the hairs. nice ones.

I used Duplicate Search Tool and accidentally found internal duplicates of the file  ---->   hf_har_hc2a_0.phy
they are found in: Asker, backbraid, black cat, black desert, cassndra, DAI inspired, Elizableth, ... , ..... , and Trish.

What does this file do? is it ok to keep or should be removed ?
In some others do not contain this file, for example: Ada.

oh I see. not sure if this will cause error, accidentally found it, just simply informing.

so for example for Asker, just simply rename:  hf_har_hc2a_0  ---->  hf_har_asker_0

      thanks for info.

Hello! To anyone in the future looking for more answers as to why their attempts at using this mod may not be working even while using the sticky posts, I personally had to manually move this mod and chargen compile this mod's files in the ...\Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\packages\core\override folder -- not use the DAO mod manager! Creating an override packet within the mod manager will not work, you must place the downloaded files from this mode page into the mentioned location, then complete the steps provided by previous commenters, and compile. Hope this helps!

So... none of the hairstyles for males seem to end up in the reference tab under human male, dwarf male, or elf male hair? And only SOME of the female one does? I can only ASSUME this is why i can't see the hairs in my game @.@ Am I doing something wrong? I put the newest files in my override, used chargenmorph compiler to compile the chargenmorphs... I'm not sure what's going on .3.

The newest file for this mod is Zoe's bun, you need to download the largest one. I just checked and the chargenmorph does have both male hairstyles listed

I have no idea if I will get an answer but have to at least try...

I'm going through my hair mods and trying to remove hairs from various packs to only leave the ones I actually want to use. I've successfully managed it with other hair packs, but for some reason, I'm having an issue doing so with this one, and I can't figure out why.

What I'm Doing: Removing the files from override; going into the chargenmorph file and removing the corresponding lines

What Is Happening: The hairless head remains in character creation with no hair

It LOOKS like the sort of thing that was happening if I accidentally forgot to modify the chargenmorph file, but I've checked over and over, and the corresponding resource file names aren't in the male and female human hair sections in my file. I don't know if there is some other step I'm missing that is specific to this hair pack, but I am at a loss as to why the heads are still lined up in char gen where they were when they had hair. Any help would be appreciated!

EDIT: Okay, I actually figured out my problem. I had created a backup for the chargenmorph file in case I screwed up and intended to put it safely out of "range" of the game and chargen compiler, but I guess I accidentally put it in a place where the game was still trying to account for it in addition to the one I was modifying. That would definitely do it, ha! I'll go ahead and leave this comment here in case it helps anyone who makes the same oopsie.

AND MOST IMPORTANTLY: I can't believe I got distracted and forgot to say THANK YOU SO MUCH for these beautiful hairstyles. I absolutely love them.

Glad you figured it out. Unfortunately I read your comment after you edited it but I have same thouhgts as you do. It is safer to keep your backups outside override folder.

Hi, nice mod, ¿Could you create Leon hairstyle from Resident Evil 4?. I would like to learn to port hairs to games like DAO, Fallout. Do you have a tutorial?

Hi. I don't mod DA:O currently but here's the tutorial I followed to port those hairstyles https://youtu.be/LcqVvrEKDV0
There's several videos on that channel with detailed instructions on how to port hair meshes.

Even after installing (only one) hairstyle and using chargen, the hair doesn't show. Very sad.

What hairstyle have you installed? Have you checked charge morph file if it was added correctly?

I'm new to DAO modding, no mod was working but this mod was the one I absolutely wanted to work for my new playthrough. Eventually I managed to get the new hairstyles to show up in my game, and they all look so good! I just wanted to thank you for those beautiful hairstyles! I'm using Hermione and my Warden is exactly what I wanted her to be, thank you! ?

What do you mean? You have troubles with adding them to character creation or something?

Sounds like I'm having a similar issue. The hairstyles don't show up in character creation as in there are slots for the styles, but the hair is invisible. I'm guessing it's a mod conflict.
