Scene is triggered by a flower. Check images for visual as I know it's kinda hidden. It's by the Halla pen, all the way in the back by the fence and behind the aravels-to the right of the bonfire where Paivel is- if you're facing it from the Keeper's location. Hit "Tab" on your keyboard (if you use one), which usually highlights objects and their names.
-There are 2 main files. -Choose ONLY ONE to install based on whether or not you use a modded Tamlen morph. Hair changes and skin tones/makeup don't matter. Use the vanilla version even if you use vanilla Tamlen with modded hair. If you do not install the right version, you may have weird gaps between your lips, or your chins and lips will be smashed together and ugh, it looks so awful. Yup, I had to make two versions because the difference is that bad lol Alignment is significantly altered by head morphs, and even the most carefully crafted kiss scene can look awful because of differences in head morphs.
I did my best to get it as close to perfect as possible (in an old Bioware game) I promise, but even my own different head morphs don't always look as good as I want them to.
--------------------------- Gameplay Notes: -There will be clipping with the ears no matter what, especially with larger elf ears. There is no way to prevent that. -If you edit the starting armor of the Dalish elves, I can't guarantee there will be no blocked or awkward camera angles if you equip anything beyond light or medium armor. Heavy armor is terrible for intimate cutscenes. -Elves of Ferelden (Love that mod <3) will give Tamlen and Mahariel armor that will cause weird hand clipping in some shots. Sorry, nothing I can do about it :( -It is unlikely but based on where each halla loads into the pen when the Dalish camp map loads (it's random), there could be additional halla in the shot that was not intended. I did my best to prevent that by placing the shot in the back of pen.
Awakening/Witch Hunt DLC: If the rings from this mod and "Tamlen's Last Goodbye" do not carry over into Awakening or other DLC, please download the optional files from each mod page to allow you to add them via console command. I tested this in Awakening, where I added both rings via console command and then went on to play Witch Hunt, rings carried over in my inventory just fine.
Took a bit to find the flower (and totally had the wrong version the first time I triggered the scene) but ugh what a magnificent scene the amount of love you put into it, and Tamlen, really shows <3
hi! so I'm having a problem with getting this mod to work...I have the flower mod working but can't seem to get this mod working. I thought I had it installed before I played but then when I couldn't find the flower I uninstalled and reinstalled right before I got back to camp the first time after the mirror. Am I doing something wrong? Please help because I love your mods!!! :'(
I'm sorry you're having such trouble! When you say you can't find the flower, do you mean it's not by the halla pen as shown in the picture under images? As if the mod isn't installed?
How did you install it? Via a mod manager or the daupdater tool? Also, double-check under Downloadable Content in-game to see if the mod is showing up there. If it's not listed then it didn't install properly.
Aww, that was so sweet and sad at the same time :O Sometimes I wonder why I keep adding heartache after heartache to my life, but then again I'm just a sucker for drama :x. Anyhow, this was beautifully done!! As a total beginner in this whole mod-computer-thing I can't even imagine how you do what you do. Is there any possibility you could ever create such a mod (or even series of mods) for Cullen and the mage origin? If so I think I would die - in a positve way of course. :D Anyhow, thanks for this mod <3 Greetings teabee
Well...can't say I haven't thought about it as I have had many ideas about mods for Cullen over my mage playthroughs, including looking up how I could add them to the appropriate parts of the game (Like The Broken Circle questline). However, for a long time I focused on other projects as there was a Cullen romance mod that edited his dialogue in the origin and the quest, so I didn't want to make a conflicting mod as that one was liked and popular. But, I see now it's been deleted.
I adore the storyline of his doomed, impossible love for a mage Warden because I'm also (clearly) a sucker for drama and tragedy haha. So, yes, the possibility is there
Ok maybe I did something wrong with this mod because I can't seem to find how to activate it in game - I have the flower mod scene and the goodbye to the whole tribe and this one, but I don't know how to get it to kick in because literally you say goodbye to the tribe and you are off with the warden - pls help - Ok an update to this mod - you need to look for the matching flower around the coral on the left side - click on this to run mod vid - enjoy!
I'm sorry you're having trouble! Can you tell me exactly what it is that you're having issues with in regards to the manual download? I'd like to help you figure it out.
Wow, this is so tender and sweet. The emotion captured seems perfect for these two. Sarah your mods add so much to the game. I feel blessed for having the chance to have them in my game. Thank you.
You are so sweet to say so, thank you It warms my heart to know I can help people enjoy the Dalish Elf origin more with my contributions to it. That's all I wanted!
