I know it has been a while since you posted this, but I just ran across this mod and yes according to SarahCousland her mod "Tamlen's Last Goodbye: "This mod is completely compatible with Killing Tamlen by Tinimaus and Cullenite" I copied and pasted that from their mod.
I really want to use this mod! Is there a way to get it to work with Qwinn's fixpack? I'm afraid that also alters the same file. Thank you for your awesome work!
this is really lovely! just one thing though...before the new cutscene starts, his audio cuts off (but his mouth still moves) and i don't get the "always loved you" line. i saw another commenter mention how Qwinn's Fixpack is incompatible, but i have it and have only seen your mod crash on me once which could've been due to that? I was wondering if the line is supposed to cut off, or if this is a mod conflict at work? if it's a conflict, is there a way to fix it?
I need this and some tissues right now. Holy hell that little youtube got to me bad. You've done the worst and the best job making me get sobby over a character that's around for like, what, 10, 20 minutes?
I just seen your mod. Everytime I play as a Dalish Elf and this part comes up I tell him I can't do it and run like a dog with its tail on fire. My team members come in and do it for me.....that's how much I can't kill Tamlen. It makes me so sad every time. I literally cry everytime this scene starts! I'm fighting shrieks with tears falling down my face and it doesn't matter that I have a L.I! My first love is tainted! Poor guy....I told him to leave that mirror alone! I'll probably still continue to run so I don't have to kill him, but I do have your mod now if I feel like being strong enough to do it. Im such a sissy! blah
This is an amazing mod. I combined it with all of SarahCousland's mods and it really makes Tamlen's story much more heartfelt. Endorsed for sure. Thanks for this.

I am having trouble with the mod, i have completed the urn of sacred ashes, and all the main missions, but the mod wont trigger...it was about to start at the first attempt but then it crashed my game. i loaded my last save, but now it wont start the cutscene
Where did it crash? After the shriek attack when you've talked to Tamlen and he asks you to kill him? Did it crash in the middle of the cutscene during your first attempt?
It didn't start at all, when returned to camp it loaded at first, to a black screen like it was about to start when the warden has the bad dream, and then it crashed. I am trying to get it to trigger, before going to denerim with eamon, but nothing
I tried to find where exactly in the scripts it sets the plot flag for the Archdemon event to trigger, but I'm none the wiser. It's supposed to start after getting the Ashes and travelling anywhere on the map. Do you have any other main plots finished? Like Nature of the Beast or Paragon of her Kind?
What did the camp look like where the scene DIDN'T trigger? Normal camp with Bodahn and Sandal or a rather "empty" camp?
I completed sacred ashes first, in the game, than completed other missions, but when it was about to be triggered, the game crashed. I reloaded the game started up on my last save, and nothing, the camp was normal sandal and bodahn was there. I traveled back and fourth to see if would start and nothing.... It has also messed with my other mods they also did not work.
Ja it sounds like it didn't trigger right. You'd have to restart the save from AFTER finishing Sacred Urn, but BEFORE the next time you use the map to travel anywhere - that's when the script takes you to the special camp that's only for this event.
If this keeps happening, or it happens to anyone else, you can use a console command to manually trigger the shriek attack. -enable the console ( http://dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Console_(Origins) ) -port yourself to camp -use command: "runscript zz_camp_debug" (without quotes) -set the plot flags for the attack -jump to attack at camp -get real real sad

Mahariel begging Tamlen not to make them kill him is my favorite dialogue choice, but no matter what they kill him in the end, and he deserves better than the same ol' beheading animation.
