I'm very stupid and confused what version to install. As I get it Vanilla version is for game without your fix pack. But what about the rest? I do use your great fix pack.
If I understand it right mod changes the tooltip descriptions, but it not necessary requires the fixes to be installed right? So for example Let say I have almost all your fixes installed except two or three, but I still can install mod version with only for fixes and its gonna work? This mod will just reflect description of fixed ability even if the fix for ability is not installed.
Or I need to run your fix pack version with only bug fixes or bug fixes + tweaks so one of the versions of this mod to work?
I'm currently doing a playthrough based on Improved Atmosphere + Flash Creatures Rebalance (as opposed to the usual Quinns kind of standard mod setup, which I've done a a couple of playthroughs with already).
One thing I'm sorely missing from the standard mod setup is this mod. Can anyone knowledgeable please give me some sort of pointer as to how to make the two compatible? I would have to modify the .tlk tables in IA (that are equivalent to the .tlk tables this mod), with this ones fixes (or vice-versa), right? Something like that? I don't know enough to know offhand what to modify exactly, but once I'm pointed in the right direction I can usually figure it out, and I don't mind having a fiddle at that level :)
The file conflicts with Improved Atmosphere appear to only be with talk tables for Golems of Amgarrak and Witch Hunt DLCs, so if you don't plan on playing those DLCs then there shouldn't be any issues. If you do plan to play them, looks like it is a choice between materials updates/fixes vs. the updated tooltips, but I can't say for sure that overwriting the IA files won't break anything.
That depends on if you are running some of the tweaks and fixes in his fix pack. Unfortunately, as he said it is kind of a one or none type deal. If you use just 1 of the extra fixes then you'll get tooltip updates for all.
So if you run his fix pack then use the MDT - Fixes file. If you use some of these extra tweaks, use the 2nd file that has fixes + tweaks.
FYI, Qwinn's fixpack's readme says this about heavy gloves: Would that knowledge allow you to make an optional additional file/files that would override Qwinn's fix to include both the proper sort order and detailed tooltips?
Does this conflict with the original Detailed Tooltips, or does it include the same stuff with more extras? Vortex told me this conflicted with Detailed Tooltips.
