So, based on your description, this is probably due to a conflict with another mod (maybe the Dalish Mage origin one, since it affects the Dalish origin), but every time I load a game, I get duplicates of the sword, ring, and belt. I'm feeling lazy, so I just destroy them, but thought you might want to know in case it IS something with your mod. But, it probably isn't since it looks like I'm the only one having this issue.

With that said, I think this is a great addition to the game, and it fits the lore very well! Endorsed!

Thank you for the comment and the endorsement; especially in lights of that weird occurence!

Those duplicates obviously shouldn't happen. Seeing how the mod is just a very small thing, there's not much that could go wrong - meaning, if it's broken, it should be broken for everyone. But I'll take a look at the dalish mage origin mod; I've been meaning to do that anyway.

Has it ever been determined if the Dalish Mage mod is responsible for this issue?

I'm currently doing a pt w/ Dalish Mage Origin and I keep getting these items. Since mage is not otherwise an option for the Dalish origin, I wonder if this mod keeps trying to give the items to the rogue or warrior. Since I'm neither, the script or whatever keeps looping. Just my theory.
It's no biggy for me, I just sell them or give them to my companions.

Might I suggest changing the dalish greatsword to the dalish 2h axe? the Dar Thanaan? Its specifically dalish, and the dalish have no 2h swords. That would be lovely!

is there a way to you make this mod work for a dalish mage too? like a robe, and a staff and nice rings, belt and amulets too?

    I luv the nice green look of this mod, although I wish there was a version that made the femz version as covering/practical as the menz version. I mean, I'd just feel a little silly wearing this to colder places like Haven and the like, y'know? >_<;

Oh wait... just noticed your info deep in the description about TMP7704's Elf Female Proportions fix getting rid of the "belly-shirt" look of the armor... I'll look into that then. :3

I had always wished that Dalish origin was set out with some better accessories and/or equipment (especially after seeing the specialized items the Dalish warrior in Witch Hunt has) . Here's a member of the clan is leaving them, possibly forever, to fight this great evil. You would think would give her some slightly better items to protect her on her journey. Not too overpowered, but like you said in another post, maybe something on par with some of the DLC items.

I would also love to see similar sets for other origins. As far as when to get the mid-game item I have a couple ideas (might not be quite as midgame as the Tamlen encounter though, but best I can think of at the moment):
    - Human noble - at some point in Howe's estate, the Warden can reclaim a personal item stolen/looted from Highever during Howe's attack.
    - City Elf - Upon returning to the Alienage, one of the Warden's cousins could give them an item (maybe an item that had belonged to the Warden's betrothed? I know the female elf's husband-to-be doesn't survive, but what about the male elf's bride-to-be?)
    - Mage & Dwarf - haven't really played through these except to try out the origin story, would need to think about them

I don't yet have Dragon Age for the PC, waiting until I can get a better computer, but I'm compiling a list of mods that I'll add once I do. This is definitely going on the list :)

Thank you for the comment! I hope you'll like the items when you get that pc.

And, yes, I'm somewhat at the same point - for some origins it's easier to find points that connect to the beginning than for others.

Very cool idea. Haven't gotten a chance to try it out yet; honestly I'm a little wary about getting all of those items at once, though. I like the idea of the two classes getting those specific items, and the player getting certain items based on their choices during the origin. I personally feel though getting an additional 2 rings, necklace, belt and longsword on top of that might be a bit overkill.

Any plans to make this modular so the player can decide which items are received? Or maybe just a full version and a 'light' version?

Thank you for commenting, I'm glad to hear you like the idea.

No, I hadn't thought about doing a modular version. I agree that it's a lot of items, especially compared to the "pure" vanilla version of the game. As I said in the description, it's somewhat on level with the DLC items: I'm honestly so used to starting the game with The Sorrows of Arlathan, Battledress of the Provocateur, and, most of all, The Reaper's Cudgel, that it didn't really seem overkill. And after selling The Reaper's Cudgel at Ostagar for 339 sovereigns, selling the unneeded items wouldn't even really register, I think.
I'll give it some thought, though.
