Literally epic. I ironically hadnt fully seen the sacred ashes trailer so that was awesome. Shame my boy alistair didnt make the cut for it haha. I use him more than sten usually.
On the Extended Version: music choice is excellent, but I liked the shorter version's mixed chronologies of the various shots and scenes better. This one feels likes watching the SA Trailer again. I know it's not exactly the same, but the -chronological- similarities are too consistent. The short version offered something new and exciting -action edited in such a way. that it conveys a message of what this game is all about: a thrilling rollercoaster ride you are not bound to forget anytime soon. I'm probably biassed, as I'd already seen the SA Trailer quite a few times. So the Extended version did not offer me a lot in terms of added value. The shorter version is more visceral, it grabs you by the throat and does not let go until the very conclusion. If that had been an official game trailer, there's no doubt in my mind that EA would have sold more copies. Don't get me wrong though. Your time and effort are very much appreciated and I hope that you will keep on making more inspired videos -preferably in the style of the Short Version. That's just more in line with my personal taste and preference. Thanks for sharing and keep up the good work!
EDIT: maybe you should team up with AzuraUndead over at the Oblivion Nexus. Scored some tracks to replace Battle, Explore, Dungeon and Public tracks (http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/43712/?). That might mean more of your videos and more of that music rolled in one. It probably be a win-win situation -well, for me at least; I love both your work.
JJ, its possible to leave phrase in this mod, when Morri and GW they say (like in original)? everything is as it is, just insert the phrase? under such musuc it will be beautiful..))
Just had a thought -or perhaps a mild stroke: ever thought of recording ingame footage (staged or not) and compiling it into a video which will kick in when Leliana sings the Elven Song after the conclusion of NotB? Or something that will play instead of / after the End Credits? Things like Killing Moves from all sorts of angles -as an example the beheading of David Warner in the orignal The Omen comes to mind, as it was shown (rather gratuitously) from a variety of angles. Or maybe use the BIK files that shipped with the game; the deaths of King Cailan and Duncan. The coronation of Alistair and / or Anora, Loghain / Alistair making the Ultimate Sacrifice. Loghain's defeat in the duel, Loghain greeting Arl Eamon at his Denerim estate, etc. And adding music and similar transitions of the Short Video you host? (As an aside: while I don't use the videos ingame; I watch the Short Version quite regularly with the Radtools. It actually kickstarted me into playing DAO again). I also reviewed a lot of the original material you used and I have to say: that Short Video gets better with every viewing. It really makes me want more -so, do you have anything planned or in development? No need to disclose details, but I'm rather anxious to see more.
Fantastic work. Hopefully you get noticed by a good studio and soon. I would love to see that level of animation more often. Thank you for the eye candy overload that was seriously awesome. I don't post on forums much but that was so good I just had to.
Nice editing and wonderful music design. Love the splice where Leliana jumps into the air and next -when you expect her to come down and land- Sten hammers down with all his might. If I managed to watch -the correct version of- Sorron's video (through the YouTube link -found on the appropriate modpage) I could hear he had some of the ambient sounds running as well; roar of the dragon, clatter of weapons -sounds of battle mostly. As a personal thought -in reference to your own video- when the Warden is yelling "Sten!"; to let the music grind to a quick stop as the Warden turn his head back and hear him vocalize the name, quickly followed by the next shot and re-engaging the music once more.
Personally, I cannot wait til you upload another video -maybe not something for in-game use, but merely to watch and enjoy. Keep at it, this is definitely something with a lot of replay value. Maybe you can team up with other modders and provide cutscenes? Anyway, thanks for sharing -made my day.

It would be even better if the first20 milliseconds of Sten with raised arms were cut out and he is already in downward motion, or just started it in extension of Leli's downward approach... Just a suggestion.. Apart from that Awesome startvid. Have gotten tired of that roaring dragon // PE
Thanks to everyone for your kind words. The song is called "For the Win" (very appropiated) by Two Steps from Hell. I will make an extended version soon if I have time.

Now there are two videos available for everyone who is interested.
The Extended version uses the Song: "Immortal" by Thomas Bergersen.
I hope you will also enjoy it!
The song is called "For the Win" (very appropiated) by Two Steps from Hell.
I will make an extended version soon if I have time.
