This mod was made almost a decade ago. I made it for myself. Releasing it publicly was more of an afterthought, and I had no desire to run around begging permissions. The list of requirements for this mod is actually pretty tame compared to a lot of the NPC replacers from that era.

In fact, I just went to check the "Face and Hair" mod category for DAO, and every mod on the first page that edits NPCs has several requirements; many of the required mods being the exact same as required by this mod. Kudos to those authors who can make their own assets, but I don't know how to paint textures or create 3D models (stated in the description), which I'm sure is the case for any NPC mod with many requirements: we use what we are able to.

    Requirements:

    • DA2 Flemeth in DAO? (You need everything in the folder labeled "Flemeth" except for "hf_gen_flemet1.mor" and "pre211cr_flemeth.utc")
Do I need the clothing_variation_da2.gda file too? It's not in the "Flemeth" folder, however the mod didn't seem to work until I installed it. If so, please update the description.

That particular line was more about getting people to remove those two files. Nonetheless, I can make some tweaks.

Hello! I have a question. First, same as Wichosaky, my Flemeth is grey face, and I found, that I'm not installed some mods, but then I tried to install them, but Fmorgana Face and Texture is Ferelden Models or not?

Yes, go to the files section of Ferelden Models' page and scroll down. It's in the miscellaneous files labeled "Face and Eye Textures."

Double check that you have all the requirements linked in the description. You could either be missing one of the face textures or PT's colors.

What a truly lovely mod. Really gives the game a lot more atmosphere and brings a lot more weight to her character's presence and a feeling of veiled power. Shamefully it took me many, many playthroughs across two platforms to realise just how much dialogue with Flemeth there actually is so do be sure to talk to her before you leave the wilds for the second time.

I highly recommend using this in combination with a custom robe choice from Unique Character Overhaul for the first/second meeting so that her true form is hidden but she doesn't just look like some random peasant (but see warning below).

    Pictured here.

You'll need to place the sections you like from the OPTIONAL FILES FOLDER in UCO, just pre210cr_flemeth.utc for the first/second meeting (ensuring you don't have an identical file in your override, but you can always create a toolsetexport folder which will always take priority). If you decide you like UCO and want to keep it fair enough but be prepared for a lot more conflicts you may have to iron out including but not limited to this mod.

Going through the folders it seems likely you may also need the Ferelden Pack, and possibly also the \z1. Fixes\1. Ferelden Pack Comp GDA file folder (read the readme).

You may also want the More Covered Female Chasind Robes mod (I'm unsure if this is necessary but it's good regardless).

Again, you may also want the Flemeth Robes folder from the items sections of UCO but I seriously doubt that's strictly needed as I think that's purely a loot script.

Edit: Just some wording correction as I forgot you technically meet her three times not twice, does not affect my advice.

Do not try any of this if you're not used to and/or prepared for a little trial-and-error, and feel free to read UCO's excellent installation guide included with the mod. UCO is a huge mod with a lot of dependencies and I may have missed something. I'll help if I can but consider this "At your own risk". Worst case scenario just delete the UCO files and restore this one in its entirety and she'll be back to "normal" (as per this mod) if you load a save before meeting her for the first/second/third time. Check this mod works and is free of conflict before adding UCO to avoid getting conflicts confused.

More personalised/technical note, feel free to disregard:
I personally also have duplicated her default starter face morph from this mod and renamed it (hf_gen_flemeth_witch) for the second encounter and have opted for UCO's red circle UTC also from the optional files folder (cir300cr_flemeth) for the circle robes as I don't like the idea of her true form appearing in the fade as it's merely a demon's imitation (purely subjective). Sadly the face/hair morph seems to be intrinsically linked with her third hut encounter as well for whatever reason but having a slight hair difference between games is hardly a deal breaker, at least for me (just means she'll keep her default Ostagar hair from this mod).

Hello, thanks for the kind words. As to your issue with the head morphs: "hf_gen_flemeth_witch" is an additional morph I created and directed the utc paths for the circle encounter and Morrigan's quest. If you're using another utc file that isn't mine, it likely points to the original morph (she only had the one head morph, I had to create the second to make her swap hairstyles depending on which utc the game loads). As such, you should be able to use my witch morph with the alternative circle utc to get the effect you're looking for.

      Edit: fixed mislabeled info.

You're welcome and ahhhhhh I think I see where I've gotten confused now.

I didn't fully understand that file format (UTC you meant I'm assuming as provided in your mod, I just confused them too but edited/corrected it haha). I didn't realise UTC also points to face/head morphs as well... as most mods don't seem to modify them for this purpose to maximise compatibility with other morphs presumably when they're only adding armors etc. I assumed the witch file was merely a modified vanilla file for both meetings (Circle and Morrigan quest).

I did not understand custom morphs could be named and redirected towards that way; I thought they all had to be named to replace vanilla assets like some other file types in the game (dialogue line files for instance which as an example makes Qwinn's pack so hard to merge with other stuff and usually requires a direct override losing his changes).

Come to think of it this probably explains the issues I've had with a couple of other mod combinations.

Thank you very much for your help, and sorry for the confusion there. This is interesting to know.

The additional good news is this has made me suspect I may be able to also fix one of the other mods I couldn't get working with the toolkit (which I've barely learned about yet but will in time) or by referring to vanilla morphs. Thanks again.

The UTC file contains ALL character data: race, gender, class, face, equipment, attributes, abilities, etc. If every instance of a character's UTC is removed from the game, the character is no longer in the game. Likewise, you could also do something wild like making Zevran a female dwarven berserker with max stats by editing his UTC...though you'd probably break some things in the process...but it's do-able.

UTM is the same thing for monsters and UTI for items.

Also, if you're learning the toolset and like perfecting your PC face, the toolset has many more face sliders and selectable options (such as picking new lashes from the required eyelash mod, or blending two skin textures together). Then you can add the morph to your character by editing the save. First thing I do on any new Surana is save, exit, and edit in my custom morph. If you do the fade though you'll want to temporarily un-edit it for that section, as the custom morph can mess with the visuals of the fade shapeshifting forms. Personally, I never skip the fade...one of my favorite sections.

Thank you greatly for all this information. It'll be useful, very interesting about the morphs...

Yeah I do tend to skip the fade haha. Played it a few too many million times.

Firstly, thank you, Falkrun, for this mod!

Note to others wanting to install this mod without using ALL the required mods (mod-cheat):
I've managed to get the hair/helmet part working on Flemeth with only 4 out of the 8 mentioned required mods. To be honest, I didn't want to have to download so many mods just to make Flemeth resemble herself in DA2 and DAI. But this has, of course, required some sacrifice - Losing the armor and staff, fewer wrinkles than in the images above etc. So here is what she looks like if you just want her hair and helmet, and her skin to not have that shadowy effect others here have mentioned: here

To get this Flemeth, this is what I did:
    1. Downloaded the Flemeth Update file from this mod site and extracted it to ...Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\packages\core\override
    2. Inside the Flemeth Update folder (I did this so I could easily remove the whole "package mod" if needed) I then extracted into it "Additional Hairs for DA." I wasn't sure which files I needed exactly from there so I just downloaded both Additional Hairs for DA Part 1 and 2.
    3. I downloaded "Dracomie's True Textures." To get this specific file, you need to download the entire Dragon Age Redesigned main file. Once this downloaded, I went into that folder and only extract the folder "Non-companion NPCs (contains Dracomies True Textures)" into the Flemeth Update folder. Then you need to go into that extracted folder and run the installer "Dragon Age Redesigned Version 7.3c.exe." Just go through the installation process as normal (I also put the installation location inside my Flemeth Update folder) and select the Dracomie's True Textures option before completing installation.
    4. I then downloaded "Face and Eye Textures" (which is an optional file under Ferelden Models, by mochen, as linked on this mod site) and extracted the file also into the Flemeth Update folder. Now the creator of this mod says on their mod site that the main mod isn't compatible with Brumbek's Realistic Teeth, however, since I have only downloaded an optional side file I thought it might work and so far I have had no issues.
    5. And finally, I downloaded "DA2 Isabela and Flemeth to DAO" and only extracted the "Flemeth" folder into my Flemeth Update folder. I then deleted "hf_gen_flemet1.mor" and "pre211cr_flemeth.utc" from within the extracted Flemeth folder (beneath folders; Armor and Hair.)

As a side note, if you use the mod Realistic Teeth by Brumbek, it will change Flemeth's face shape slightly, as well as Wynne's - They will look a little younger and a tad generic. Here is Flemeth with the Realistic Teeth mod: here. But it also makes Leliana and Morrigan look more like themselves in Inquisition when also using Rose's DAO Companions Redone and Default Replacements mods. An upgrade I would say!

Do also note that the Realistic Teeth mod does change the face of your Warden slightly as well, so I recommend using this mod when starting a new game.

Disclaimer: I don't know much about mod creation or how it all works, I've just winged it and everything works so far! So I'm afraid I can't advise on any issues you might have with this little process. I just wanted to share a little FYI for other people like me who are new to all of this! :)

      Adding to this
For the hair, you only need this folder: Additional Hairs for DA (Part 1)\Hair\hair 12
      For the textures:
      Face and Eye textures\Morgana's textures\uh_hed_morgana13_0d.dds
      Face and Eye textures\Morgana's textures\uh_hed_morgana13_0n.dds
      Face and Eye textures\Morgana's textures\uh_hed_morgana14_0d.dds
      Face and Eye textures\Morgana's textures\uh_hed_morgana14_0n.dds
      Face and Eye textures\Morgana's textures\uh_hed_morgana15_0d.dds
      Face and Eye textures\Morgana's textures\uh_hed_morgana15_0n.dds
I kept the chargenmorph file as well just in case and just use a compiler.

For the textures, I took a screenshot using all the textures, and just these ones and could see no difference, if anyone has a better file selection just reply below. However, my Flemeth's face does not look as good as the one in the attached images in the mod, so I'm not sure if it's because I deleted some textures, or if its another mod. But this works enough for me

Great mod but I'm having some trouble with it. The face texture doesn't seem to be loading right and is resulting in no wrinkles and a weird glossy effect on the top half of her face.
I've uninstalled all my other mods and only installed the ones you instructed us to use and I'm still having the same problem so I know it isn't caused by any conflicting mods.

Nevermind. I didn't have Dracomies Textures from Dragon Age Redesigned Installed. It's not listed in your required mods section but I found it in the comments.
