DAModmanager just adds the singleplayer lines from the manifest.xml so it still needs manual fiddling: Open the DAzip with 7z or winrar Open manifest.xml and copy all <AddInItem> sections Open Addins.xml in your Documents folder and search for "Open Lock Spells" then mark the <AddInItem></AddInItem> section and paste all sections from manifest.xml save and have fun!
Good catch, this happened with my install as well so I copied and pasted as per your post. I suspect the reason this happened is that there are line breaks in the manifest file in the dazip. I'm betting the DAO Mod Manager sees a line break in between the "AddInItem" lines and says "Welp, I guess I'm done now."
Can confirm that DAUpdater can't handle this mod, best case scenario it won't crash and say the installation was successful (spoiler: it's not). DAModder is the way to go. If you're too far into the game and don't have access to more spell points, refer to this post to find the spells' ability IDs.
For those people who have no idea why is mod isn't working with "Awakening" Change: ExtendedModuleUID="Single Player" to ExtendedModuleUID="DAO_PRC_EP_1" in addins.xml (\Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\Settings) search for Name="Open Lock Spells". Good luck.
Hi. I have solution just download mod and unzip dazip, make new folder for example lock speell and put there all mod files. Now cut the folder and past in Documents\BioWare\ Dragon Age\packages\core\ . Works great and thx for mod
It doesn't work with DA Mod manager. Manifest.xml in .dazip is changed but actual setting.xml is not different from the original one. So I have to copy and paste the rest part from manifest.xml to setting.xml manually...

It's frustrating not being able to open locks at the opening because of my Warden being a Mage.
I can't even find the setting.xml mentioned earlier in any of my Dragon Age related folders.
