I absolutely refused to Play 2 Handed Warriors, because the slow swings was so frustrating (Especially when fighting: Flemeth, High Dragon and Archdemon... mainly because they INTERRUPT before you can get a swing through...) and this mod was just exactly what I needed to make it less frustrating and more viable along with fun to run a 2 handed Warrior! :D
After a little bit of real world research and some in-game testing I think -0.2 for the greatsword and battleaxe is perfect. With their longer animations it keeps them roughly equal to the longsword and waraxe which is pretty much accurate to the reality of these weapons. The maul however, I think should remain at 0.05 which is slower than the mace at 0. Mauls are big hammers after all, not balanced weapons like swords and axes.
Axes for use in battle were generally lighter and more well balanced than an axe used for cutting wood.
this file give -0.5 to 2h weapons, same as the dagger, it's a little bit too fast I think, -0.1 should be ok, maybe ? <<<
I used GDApp to set the "dspeed" to -.2 and it felt perfect. Even though the long sword "dspeed" is -.1, -.2 seemed better for 2h's because of the longer animations.
I think two handers in Dragon Age are pretty fine on their own. You just need to know how to dish out the pain. Excessive use of Sunder Armor, Sunder Arms, Two Handed and Mighty Swing allows one to bring home that massive damage. Combined with styles such as Powerful Swings and Precise Strike, you can really do some damage.
This requires a reasonable Will power score as well as a reasonable Strength Score. The idea is to pick an armor set that reduces the cost of abilities, and use that. Possible combine with Templar to help against magic, and you have a more then decent 2 hander. The increased speed is a very nice addition however.
What I'd like to see is a two hander and sheild mod. Its possible, dispite what the nay-sayers claim. One day perhaps. For now, we have this speed mode at least.
I just downloaded it, and as far as I can tell, it does not speed up swing animation, it only makes the character swing, and then as soon as (s)he's done swinging, they will immediately swing again. So, it certainly does speed up things, but not to where you are hitting every half-a-second. Definitely recommend this for anyone who likes to use 2h's, but hates the swing timer.

Otherwise, I just spec into Dual or Shield...

if you edit the .gda file with GDApp, you will be able to edit the speed of your weapons with the "dspeed" property.
default value :
longsword -0.1
waraxe -0.1
dagger -0.5
greatsword 0
maul 0.05
battleaxe 0.1
others 0

This is great! I always thought the 2h weapons were to slow for their own good, but now their not!
