Is there a way around the songs length? For example if a original song is 2 minutes, but the song i want to replace it with is 3 minutes, will it always just be playing my 3 minute song up to the 2 minute marker and then skip to the next track?
Hi, I was having the same problem, then I UNCHEKED "Quick Build" in the Dragon Age Music Editor windows and it worked, the track played in full length and looped normally.
The downside is that it takes waaaaaaaaaaaay longer to build the mod :(
One more question I hope to resolve. I have everything working perfectly across the base game but the DLC's (new campaign ones like Liliana's Song and Awakening) all music is absent entirely?
Other DLC's don't seem to be affected so far, I've played Stone prisoner and music was present.
I've gotten it to work (for the most part) but am having the 'cut off' issue after about a minute of music for each track.
I've tried the troubleshooting methods you mentioned to other here in the forum, but still can't get it to function properly.
I wonder if it has something to do with where my folder is placed on my PC? I've exported the tracks as WAV files at 48hz, run a long build etc. I've even made sure to edit each track to the same length in case it was a looping issue.. I've been trying to fix it for days now and gave up so I thought I would ask you for help if you have time.
The operation of this program will be a great mystery to me. I decided to change the music for a different one and now the songs I'm adding are longer and I have 20 seconds of silence while playing.
Edit @
Ich Verstehe, ja, ja. I used a good quality file and something was not working properly. Now I'm using it and it's OK.
Replacing music following the above guide results in the replaced tracks being empty. Since all I'm trying to do is overwrite most combat music with the criminally-underused Lothering battle music, I'll try insinuating said music without resampling. Perhaps the issue is that the package cannot handle certain bitrates or something (despite playing them just fine in the app itself).
Edit: Nope. This app just doesn't seem to work quite right. It creates the archive, and I can even open it with fsb-extractor and hear for myself that the replacement tunes are there. But in-game it flatly refuses to play the music. I can only guess that the additional files it generates (music.fev, etc.) are important for letting the game know how to use the archive, and they are being improperly created.
Hello, I have a problem. Swapped Noble Man's music to OST Castle Never from Neverwinter Nights. The song plays until a certain point and the music cuts out. Now I have to talk to someone or fight for the song to play again. How to fix it ?
Seems like the game just doesn't use many different kinds of tracks. For instance, there are 2 Circle Tower combat tracks but it will only ever play the first one. So you replace those 2 tracks with yours, it will never play the second. And now I'm wondering if this is also the case with the vanilla music and if this is maybe a bug with the game itself.
Perhaps it's just not clear when what music plays, because I just started the circle of magi and when I'm fighting abominations I'm hearing Redcliff Castle combat music.
I also heard the Denerim combat music once while rescuing the refugees from the Darkspawn. When I have specific Darkspawn tracks added.

Any idea what I might have done wrong? Cheers!

Edit : uncheck "quick build" :)
