Guys, does anyone have a mod that makes the main character control like in this mod? That the tactics will work for main character For Dragon Age 2... Or can someone tell me how to do it myself?
Been finding some of my tactics menus cut off. Its happening to Enemy > rank, health, armor type, mana/stamina and Character > Health, at least x enemies. Almost all the other menus open fully. Its super annoying that I can't see what health % I select for a party member taking a potion, otherwise I wouldn't complain. Picture here: https://imgur.com/a/0pnoiQv
I've tried uninstalling my other mods and the only other thing I can think of that might be interfering is Dains Fixes and Qwinns Ultimate DAO fixpack but I didn't see anything mentioning changes to tactics in their descriptions/read mes. Thanks!
This happened to me because I use MO2 and renamed the dazip to zip and MO2 just basically extracted everything to Documents\Bioware\Dragon Age\packages\core\override folder. However, upon checking, this mod needs some files placed to a directory outside of the override folder which is Documents\Bioware\Dragon Age\AddIns. I pasted the required files in the addins folder and it fixed the issue for me.
I can't believe i've overlooked this mod for so long, it's an absolute gamechanger for me.
Despite Origins being one of my favourite games of all time i struggle to make it even half way through a playthrough these days because i just get tired of having to manually right click each enemy. This got particularly worse after replaying DA2 recently where you can just press R to target the next enemy, it might not be perfect but it's such a massive quality of life improvement over origins.
After finding out this mod allows tactics to run even when controlling the character i now have a reasonably functional way to auto target enemies that no longer requires right clicking every single enemy every single time, this is game changing for me and allows me to finally enjoy the game again.
With the new game coming out, I'm doing a first playthrough of this older game to get a feel for the atmosphere and back story of the games. This seems like an important one as trying to do RTS with 4 different players is... not ideal. The more and more precise choices for the AI, the better. Thanks for the mod!
It seems like after adding this mod. Using "Enemy -> Clustered" does not seem to work at least for skills like Dog Dread Howl or Mage Flame Burst, the AI will not try to do anything or maybe it doesn't even recognize an enemy as being surrounded by allies even though they are.
If you have a Ranger that can summon animals, and you set them to cast their animal during "Self = Exploration mode", they can summon an unlimited number of animals. Every time a battle ends, they summon another one, and the old one does not despawn as it should.
i am struggling really badly to get my rogue to switch to ranged attack if the enemy is far away and melee if the enemy is close, does anyone have any solid tactics for this?

One of those spells is to enable tactics for controlled character
Put it on your bar and use it and your controlled character will perform tactics

self: surrounded by no enemies: switched to ranged weapons
or
set behavior to ranged and use the inverse
self: being attacked by melee attack: switch to melee weapons
The behavior will force ranged weapons once the character is no longer being attacked in melee
