Just in case anyone else runs into the same issue, the amulet disappears every time I reload the game. I've re-added it through the console a couple of times but it keeps happening
Then something else is wrong with your game. This mod works just fine. .uti files don't cause that kind of behaviour. The game doesn't even access them for stuff already in your inventory, which is why you have to spawn new instances via console to see changes you've made to item files.
I'm a little late to the party but I figured out a workaround if you (or anyone else who comes along) is having the issue of the amulet constantly disappearing. You can use the Winter Forge mod's "transfer magical properties" function to take the stats from Warden's Oath and replace the stats on another amulet and it will stick!
You can also change the icon with the Winter Forge, though I dont think it has the exact same one as Warden's Oath. Also you can rename your new item but I couldn't get commas and spaces to work, so mine is just called "WardensOath" now. But it's better than not having it at all.
Do you use the Grey Warden's of Ferelden mod, by chance? I'm wondering if for some reason that is interfering with the amulet, since you're given it and the warden gear at the same time.
weird... I have the file dropped into my override folder and it has been there since character creation.. yet... I get to the joining and all I get is a +2 con amulet... did I do something wrong? Do I need to adjust/install something else?? what a bummer. :\
EDIT: OOhhh!!! I re-read the instructions and it is supposed to go in the MyDocuments version of the Override folder? Why does EA have to be so confusing having two identical override file locations... sheesh! Should I assume any mods with .uti files go in the MyDocuments override folder, having trubble seeing the rhyme and reason here. >_<;
Love this I only wish we could have a version that would lift the restriction to just the Warden wearing it. I'd rather give it to the Warden's LI or someone else. I wear usually anything that helps more gold drop.
I really love this mod, it's perfect for ensuring I never have to switch out items that should be dear to my wardens just because the stats are totally blah.
Also: To add the amulet via the console, destroy your warden's default amulet and type "runscript additem gen_im_acc_amu_war.uti 1". Whichever version of this mod you have installed, you'll get it, restrictions in place. (Boy was I happy to find this out, lol.) Thanks for making.
I don't know if you're still with us or not, since you haven't made or updated a mod in years, but I really liked this mod. I finally will actually wear the Warden's Oath for a significant length of time.
One thing that occurred to me while admiring this mod: why doesn't Alistair have one of these? He says it's tradition to give every recruit one, so presumably he got one too. If you are still with us, any chance of writing a mod so Alistair has one of these (restricted to himself of course) when you acquire him at Ostagar?
edit: I've spent the last hour messing around with the toolset (never modded before) and I figured out a way to do this myself. I made a copy of your uti, then altered the restriction entry to Alistair (and renamed it of course), then I edited the utc from GWoF to have him have it equipped when I encounter him at Ostagar. Problem solved.
It can be hard to see if you have other equipment installed that also adds to attributes. The first time I tested it thought it was not working until I noticed that constitution was up by 3 instead of the normal 2.

The 'weakens nearby darkspawn' doing nothing is a vanilla bug, as I understand it.
Still, an invaluble update to a 'unique' item that needed a boost to not be de-equipped as soon as you got the next 'better' amulet available.
runscript additem gen_im_acc_amu_war.uti
from the cheat prompt.
At least, that's how I got it to work.
Also, great idea-- thanks for sharing!
