This mod has been a must-have since it was first released. Pairs really nicely with Improved Mabari model by magpiedragon.

what file do you need to remove to get this to work with JBtexture?

Maczincus thanks I already did add note in description. Masks as tattoos (dog war-paints are same) and model textures are two very different things and they are applied differently. If I wanted to make texture and mask-tattoo mod I would say so in description. Unfortunately it seems that pictures are only thing people "read" and comment today.

No problem I love Rotts and I appreciate goodwill but in DAO Mabari will do me fine.

ooops! Don't get me wrong. I didn't want to encourage anyone to choose the Rottweiler over your mod. In fact I replaced the Rottweiler with yours.

I just thought you were looking for a way to change the dog independently from the other mabaris and that the linked mod might be a starting point for you.
Oh well, here am I giving advise to seasoned modders …

Maczincus My comment is valid only for use of standard game Mabari hound model. If other then standard Dog model/textures are used different options and other possibilities will emerge but than your Darkspawn killer-hound will not be what it is any longer. It will become German Rottweiler instead.

lastdarkness you have chosen as reason for your (bad) rating explenation "The file didn't do what the description implied".

This is quite strange reason as my mod does exactly what is in description.

So I wonder what that could be? Can you do us all big favour and clarify what your gripes are. Simply put what you believe my description has "falsely" implied?

For those in search for a different dog, try this link:

    http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/72/index/471438/1#541063

There you'll find a mod that transforms dog into a rottweiler while leaving other mabaris untouched. Just search the thread for the word "rottweiler" and you should see the link.

Attention: This isn't compatible with any mod that changes APR_BASE.GDA.

@Dall: Maybe this could be a starting point if you plan to do your own custom design.

Salah-ad Din Sorry my mistake I should have posted only pictures without kaddis colors but this one is my favourite "armor" which I use for my dog all the time. Otherwise dog skin/hair is as you say just normal dog hair.

qw12po09 Not really. As I said before all dogs use same texture and all different colors are done/made with use of tints (think of color filters or gels) so there is no real possibility for variations unless you somehow find way to change them / their use or you make 50+ separate copies of Dog in different colors.

Indrisblake it is kaddis (dog paint) used I believe by only one in game kaddis but it can be found readily in my Knight Templar mod as dog armor.

How do I get the skeleton paint shown in your pics? All Ive seen is the original striped style.

I would also be greatly interested in a black Mabari. Or even other colors. I'd prefer to keep him as a dog and not a wolf, but some variety in colors would be great.

Wouldn't it be possible to change just the Dog while leaving the other Mabari's the same? There are many Black or Grey Mabari's in the game as npcs or monsters.
