Literally spends hours updating every texture, literally won't provide a single sentence of directions, breaks the files up into multiple rars and fs up the naming so they can't be decompressed without manually renaming each file...and that is assuming you ever understand this. "WhY dOeS eVeRy OnE jUdGe CrEaToRs!?!?!". Literally you could fix all of your problems with minutes of effort, you absolute tool. #1, use a single file. Don't want to do that, fine. #2 name each rar file consecutively IE "HDR1.rar, HDR2.rar, HDR3.rar" and winrar and 7zip will be able to extract them properly.
The dude literally said he didn't liked it and gave the reason as to why, he also pointed out that the mod description is very bad and lazy which is true, there isn't even a install guide. He doesn't need to go make a better mod because there's a better mod available already, he literally told the name of it. He wasn't being a prick and he is on his own rights to criticize something he doesn't like, doesn't matter if it is free. You being overly sensitive as you have been here proves that you are the one with two iq points.
Ahem... Put all "parts" of the downloadables in wherever, all that matters is you extract "part 1" to a folder of your choice, preferably an empty and new one. You will need an application like WinRar to extract the files and when "part 1" is finished extracting, WinRar will ask for a directory, browse to "part 2." After that's done extracting, WinRar will ask for another directory, browse to "part 3" and so on. When everything's done, just move the folder with the extracted files to C:\Users\Spectre\Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\packages\core\override And you're done!
When extracting with 7ZIP, every single .rar file is reported to have 1 or 2 data errors.
I know my stuff when it comes to computers and my system is rock solid. There is something inherently wrong with these files so I suggest backing up all your save files if you decide to try it.
ez fix, make sure the 7z files themselves end in part1.rar, part2.rar, etc rather than part1-126 or w/e; open the part1.rar and all the files will be available to you no data errors
I used 7-Zip (portable) and renamed the archives to part1.rar, part2.rar ... part5.rar. I added the files in order to 7-zip window (drag&drop or "add") and then I hit the extract button. I created before a new folder where all the textures being extracted e.g. "hdrtex". After this I copied all texture files to my "override" folder (in the root of course).
part 5 says Part 1 in the file) might be a typo but want to ask about it before downlaoding it... i don't know if this will affect the load order (just an observation and question)
Someone please explain to me exactly how to install them once I have extracted them into a folder? Do I place the folder into the override folder or just the files? Thank you!
for users of Lady of the Forest HD, New Demon Textures and Ogre HD:
if you have access to Photoshop/Gimp (whatever you prefer) its a simple DIY patch as making dupes of the their 4k textures but for HDR's 1k, 512, and 256 res textures, (up to you if you want to add the 4k texture along with replacing HDR"s 1k to 256 res ones or just replace HDR's three files) then generating the respective normals for each replaced 4k/1k texture, then finally merging the textures you just made into this mods folder.
Experimented on this for the bulk of my spare time today and its doable as a patch mod to cut out all the middle man ground work for every person that owns DA:O, Riot23 is it ok if i can have your permission to work on a patch for this, and the Lady of the Forest HD, New Demon Textures and Ogre HD mods?
Edit: All this modding really takes its toll! especially after a eureka moment. Have a new found respect for modders now lol

Mod description is very bad & lazy.
Its easy to criticize and be a prick when you've never done any yourself, but having two iq points like yourself who can blame you.
As a fallout mod creator, they aren't the ones who need to raise their INT.

Hope this helped someone.
