About this mod

Adds the Chain of Orlais to your inventory. It is a bikini-chainmail style light armour.

Permissions and credits
Thought I'd try my hand at making a standalone armor. Thanks to those that offered pointers.

This adds the stand-alone light armor "Chain of Orlais" to your inventory. It is a chainmail-bikini style armor. Yeah, yeah, I know.

The armor works for female humans and elves only.

The optional file allows you to replace a few of the texture files from the main file version if you prefer a red or black colour chain instead of silver.

The stats are about mid to end game level.

Item in-game description:
This chain originally belonged to an Orlesian spy who used the armor not during battles in the wilderness but in gaining an edge for missions involving the intrigue of bedroom and ballroom. Nevertheless it offers surprising protection, though some debate whether this is due to workmanship, magic, or its uncanny ability to distract one's targets. How it ended up in the colder climate of Ferelden is perhaps its biggest mystery.

UPDATES:

May 20: Added optional file allowing users to replace some of the texture files to make the chain red or black instead of silver.

May6: Added version for Awakenings. You can only have the Origins OR Awakenings version installed at any given time. Uninstall one before trying to install the other.

May2: Added new version that allows armor to work for both elves and humans (instead of just humans). It also cleans up some duplicate files.

INSTALLATION:
--Download and unzip the file.
--Install the dazap file with DAUpdater or a similar program.
--Add the "Chain of Orlais" folder to your override folder, normally found here:
C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\My Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\packages\core\override\
--Remember, you can only use EITHER the Origins version or the Awakenings version at any given time.

KNOWN GLITCH:
If you have this armor equiped and try to equip a different light armor without taking it off first, the textures of your new armor will be distorted. Simply unequip the armor and then re-equip it to restore them to normal.
