About this image
Sorry to be a negative Nelly and bring this here but I have no other way to show you guys (and from what I know not everyone has seen or knows about the beta yet). Nexus Beta shows a site wide colour theme change that will affect more than you know. I am usually a fan of Dark Mode on sites, as long as it isn't too high contrast. In this case it is an pretty extreme high contrast on text heavy pages such as the About Me section of the new profiles, which may mean mod pages and articles will be this way. And if any of you know me I detail my mods extensively (not just for the users but for myself).
This high contrast editing is very painful on the eyes causing eye strain, eyes to go bloodshot and cause headaches—at least for me. I spend hours on the Nexus site editing, adding and updating mod pages, articles and I try to make myself widely available for those using my mods for troubleshooting and fixing/sorting out bugs. But I doubt I would be able to physically stand this high contrast change over. So far some people have complained about the too dark/high contrast beta, and after repeatedly bringing it up the devs finally said something but seemed to have little regard about our concerns.
If this is something that you think would concern you and your future activity on Nexus, speak up now while it is beta before we have no more influence or say on the matter. Here is the feedback post: https://forums.nexusmods.com/topic/13472271-user-profile-and-direct-messaging-improvements-beta/
Edit: Also note that the new forums, also have been given a higher contrast update as of today too. This also isn't doing great for my eyes either.
