DO ALSO NOTE THAT THE INCREASED FOV OF ENEMY UNITS RENDER MANY STEALTH MISSIONS HIGHLY DIFFICULT, IF NOT ENTIRELY IMPOSSIBLE.

Support Strikes Update
The (not) much anticipated update brings ARES Gone Rogue to its full glory. Functional enemy mortar strikes and JDAMs have been added.

Enemies
- Pointman (S-vest replacement) has been replaced by Platoon Sergeant.
- Company Commander and Platoon Sergeant can call in HE mortar barrages.
- The former Platoon Sergeant (S-executioner replacement) has been replaced by JTAC Executioner.
- JTAC Executioner can call in an F/A-18 to drop a 2000lb JDAM onto the AO and level it, most likely crashing the game in the process.
- Across the board nerfs to Rangers. They no longer land critical hits as often and their aiming times have also been increased slightly.
- Lowered aiming time and increased crit chance for Commandos in CQB situations.
- Commandos now have PVS-15s.
- Across the board Delta buff.

Other Stuff
- Changed enemy portraits from the ones left behind when I repurposed the RGR documents into actual ARES portraits.

Overview
ARES Gone Rogue is an enemy replacement mod that aims to make the game NOT FUN. Intended for masochists (like me) who think that RGR and REF are both way too easy and want to face enemies that are as good, if not even better than your troopers.

You better turn flashing every room into a habit, because you won't be outshooting them.

Replaced Units
Basic Insurgents

Basic Insurgents are replaced with Rangers, including but not limited to RECCE guys who can easily kill your entire assault team, cracked MFers who have sub-200ms aimtime in CQB situations and Goose operators who do not care about his own safety nor the safety of everyone else in the room that he's going to fire into. That includes your entire assault team and the three hostages.

Security

Security is replaced with Commandos and SF. Mainly Commandos, with some ODA advisors. Commandos lack AP ammo and are not nearly as threatening as Rangers at a distance, but they are nearly on par with Rangers in CQB. Their weapons also have higher suppression capabilities for no apparent reason. Then there's SF which serves as an overall better version of Rangers.
But hey, the Commandos got the drip though!

Generic Tangos

Generic Tangos are replaced with the crowd-pleaser, the D-boys. If fighting Rangers weren't bad enough already, then CAG will surely ruin your day. Across the board with 80%+ critical chance and absurdly quick aim times, you won't be beating them without flashbangs or frags. Take heed though, because they too will throw their signature party bangers back at you. One of them runs an LVAW, and you really won't want to know how well he shoots it.
Also included is an ISA guy with a Glock 17. He will John Wick you if you underestimate him.

If you have feedback or bugs, report them on nexus. Just don't expect me to read them too often.

Quality of Life Changes
I don't know what else to call this.

For your mental sanity, this mod also includes the following:

  • Included M993 and M995 for all compatible Project ARES weapons
  • Massively buffed allied units
  • Nerfed the penetration of the base Project ARES M855A1 round

Installation
I basically copied this part from the Project ARES mod page.

Add mod folder to Steam\steamapps\Common\DoorKickers2\mods, then enable the mod(s) in the in-game mod menu.
See Additional Info for correct load order.

Load Order

This mod is dependent on the entire Project ARES pack and the Camo Selector Mod. Not having any of them on will result in AGR not working properly.

The load order is as follows:
In-Game Camo Selector > Project ARES Core  > Every Additional ARES Unit > ARES Additional Uniforms > ARES Gone Rogue
