      Copy the files that will be overwritten to somewhere else.
      
      For example: You only need to backup timebomb_kaboom.ogg in vanilla files.
      Which is found in equipment folder:
      Steam\steamapps\common\DoorKickers2/data/sounds/sf/equipment/timebomb_kaboom.ogg
      
      You can do it yourself for the TierOneOverhaul files. They are found under mods folder:
      DoorKickers2/mods/TierOneOverhaul(v0.9.91)

      basically back up files that will be overwritten then extract it into your steam library. More info in the readme.

   Im trying to install the T10 Sound Overhaul mod manually but I cant find the file for the Tier one overhaul, I go into mods to try and find the file for it but it is not there, I used vortex to install Tier one btw could that be the problem do I need to manually install Tier One to find the file?  I tried using Vortex to install the Sound Overhaul but it would not work.

      Possibly, I have no experience with vortex. Couldn't hurt to manually install both.

      once you learn how to do it manually, its easier and more problem free than using vortex
