This is an alternative to using the +com_skipIntroVideo 1 as a command line argument. This prevents the intro video to be played everytime you launch the game which can get quite annoying as you can not skip it.

This is an alternative to using the +com_skipIntroVideo 1 as a command line argument. Could be useful especially for gamepass users, or for people who don't want to edit the launch options.
It prevents the intro video to be played everytime you launch the game which can get quite annoying as you can not skip it.
How to install:
1. Close the game.
2. Download and extract this mod and put version.dll (do not rename it) in the same folder where DOOMTheDarkAges.exe is. For ex for Steam it should be in ....steamapps\common\DOOMTheDarkAges and for Gamepass in ...XboxGames\DOOM- The Dark Ages\Content
3. Launch the game normally
How to uninstall:
1. Close the game
2. delete version.dll
TroubleShooting:
-Check DA_IntroSkipMod_Log.txt file which should be in the same directory as DOOMTheDarkAges.exe to see if/what went wrong.
-Keep in mind this mod "might" stop working or crash the game when a new game update is released, if it does, let me know.
-19/5/25 I can not afford the game on Steam atm unfortunately, meaning i have to use gamepass, so i can't debug/fix the issue with the mod crashing for Steam Deck/Proton users.
How to get rid of the Launch Notice:
Go to the folder where the exe file of the game is and from there go to launcherData\base\configs folder
2. There you will see a launcher.cfg file, open it and change those lines like this:
rgl_showAMDStartupWarning 0
rgl_showIntelStartupWarning 0
rgl_showNvidiaStartupWarning 03. Save the launcher.cfg file4. launch the game again and you should have no more pop up.
5. If you want to restore the file as it was just replace the zeros by ones
