Hey, any luck being able to work on this mod again? Because I think you should try to redo this mod, but instead of going off of in-game sprites for DOOM 1, go off the box art for DOOM 1 & 2 and the sprite for 64, as the sprite for Doomguy in-game doesn't even wear gloves.
If I knew how to do this, I would. I'd replicate the box art colors the best I can, like how the knee pads and helmet are the same color, but the gloves are a dark black and the boots are grey or greyish tan.
I absolutely love these. Awesome stuff. The DOOM 1 marine looks incredible with the gloves and boots being more tan, as well as the belt.. but i feel the green is only a little too bright (at least for my taste) so far i havent been able to really grasp how making mods works for this game. would it be possible to make a version of this same mod but with the green being a little more like the one thats already in game? or at least a little darker?
since i uploaded this mod my computer has given up, and i had to get a brand new one, so anything i had on this mod is gone, sadly i cannot do what you are asking of me unless i completely remake this mod, which i really don't have the patience to do atm
The only critique I've found so far is that there's a small off-white discoloration 'line' right underneath his right hand glove along with a stray green pixel on the palm (for the Classic Marine skin). You can see it clearly whenever he acquires one of the various toys in the game.
Cool skin, but I can't get this to work. I placed the .zip in the mods folder and ran the mod injector like usual but it's still the original classic doom marine skin. I tried another skin mod just to make sure I'm not doing anything wrong and it did work, so I'm not sure why it's not working.
Maybe I've misunderstood the whole thing, I thought this would turn the classic green doom marine in the left of the screenshot to the darker one in the right of the screenshot. But the darker one on the right is unreleased?

thanks for gettin back to me.
Exceptional work dude, the base skin was so muted in comparison to the original artwork.

no, the mod is a texture replacement for both the classic doom marine
and the 64 one,
it does not give you the 64 marine in any sort of way, you must wait for it to release to use it.
