Hi, thanks for making this mod. Is there a way to only disable the menu sfx? The menu "clicks" when selecting a menu item or moving the various sliders in the settings menu are really high piercing and high frequency. Is that something this mod takes care of? Or is there a certain file that would have that setting? I don't want to have to turn down the "Sound Effects Volume" slider, because that also turns down the game effects. I'm just looking for the menu sfx, in particular.

    Thanks!

      - Extract the SFX files: https://wiki.eternalmods.com/books/2-how-to-create-mods/page/extracting-game-audio
      - Find the SFX files you want to remove, make them play nothing, then re-inject: https://wiki.eternalmods.com/books/2-how-to-create-mods/page/creating-audio-mods

I am unfamiliar with that, I just cannot handle the menu sound and anything similar, is extraction with app the only way ?

You can go into the ZIP and delete the files in sfx that start with ui_

Hey, just wanted to thank you for making this mod. I practically gave up on the game because I just couldn't get into a good flow state with how unbalanced, loud, and distracting certain audio cues were. I'll be giving this a shot here soon, but I was wondering if there was any way to configure the mod to remove some of the more absurd sound effects? Things like the cartoony pops and gulps. Don't get me wrong, I love me some absurdity, but the joke kinda got really stale and old very early into my playthrough before I quit with just how frequent they were. There are honestly so many things about the sound design that makes me wonder why they weren't grouped into additional audio sliders, or given toggles to disable if desired. They're great additions, but the lack of ability to handle them as desired seems a little absurd. The cartoony sounds especially seem like something that I'd have fun with as a bonus for completion or something that I could enable, but I just don't really enjoy it being there right from the get-go and seemingly throughout the entire game.

Sorry, didn't mean to ramble. Even if what I asked isn't really possible, or would require legwork from myself, I still greatly appreciate the work you've done as is. Thank you so much.

You can remove specific sound effects either by deleting their references in certain .decl files or by muting the .opus SFX files themselves. The latter is probably what you want to do, you can find a guide on how to do that here: https://wiki.eternalmods.com/books/2-how-to-create-mods/chapter/audio-modding
If you are unfamiliar with modding in general, then you may want to take a look at this as well: https://wiki.eternalmods.com/books/2-how-to-create-mods/chapter/general-information

Think you could make the UI sounds even quieter? Just scrolling along the main menu is still kinda painful, the sounds are so loud and high pitched. By extension, the sound when you double jump and when your dash recharges are also really high pitched, too loud and the pitch makes them hurt lol

    Great work regardless!

What about the headshot 'pop' sound

Done. The headshot SFX are not that loud, so I only reduced their volume slightly.
