@quxo If you've played the game on higher framerates, things like Carcasses will melee over and over with 0 break in between, and you'll be staggered on each hit, effectively meaning that if they hit you once you just get shredded by an inescapable beyblade of death due to being stunlocked. It's not a matter of getting better, it's a matter of the game not scaling to high the framerates that its engine supports, and its target audience expects. Also, the "knockback" doesn't work like you'd expect it to, nor the way it worked in 2016. It doesn't shove you in the direction you got hit; it just staggers you in place, so even getting hit once can spell immediate death due to all the incoming damage from other sources. It's just not a very well-designed mechanic, and one often lamented by some of the most skilled players on twitch.
