This is my favorite mod after KTD, but its a real shame it hasnt been updated. I did the easy fix below and even added file folders for the expansion packs and copy pasta-ed the mods, so it was working on V6.6... for a few days then i dunno what i did but i broke it and it stopped working. Had to download Realistic Pick Ups Requiem and it works fine and is updated but now the items are a lil too dark and impossible to see in some places.
I think this mod did it right and I wish NegateTheStars would update it!
EASY FIX: Open the mod pack, rename the folder "gameresources" to "gameresources_patch1"
You will also need to rename the map folders to whatever their latest patch is as well. For example, changing "e1m1_intro" to "e1m1_intro_patch3" and such.
Hi there, what do I need to delete to have this just for the stationary ammo and health packs but leave everything else exactly how it is in the vanilla game?
I like the general look of the game a lot but the completely separated light health pack especially looks ugly as fuck.
Again me. Still a good mod! But why did you deleted the fx surround the GhostKnights ((with de coin updrade for the suit in there hands. 4got theirname xD)) ??? Those FX were awesome.
which file i have to delet know to bring it back!? :/
Really good mod My problem: i wanted to use it only for the PickUps with the 'Hidden LootDrops' -mod. But this mod override the Hidde Loopdrop mod. Is there a way to deactivate it for the loopdrops? exampel in command console or rename 1, or 2 or 3 files by myself?
I've never tried any Doom Eternal modding. Is there any way to disable the flash effect that comes when you dash and the red damage indicator that comes on screen?
Awesome mod as always! Really lets you appreciate the way the items look now that the glow is gone. I really appreciate you making this!
My only request would be an alternate version that does not replace or edit the lootdrops, keeping them how they normally are, if that is possible. Other than that it's exactly what I've been looking for!
Thanks for the kind words as always! I can leave lootdrops as they are ,sure. They wouldn't really fit with the rest of the "less colorfull" aesthetic in my opinion, but yeah i'll do it. If you're asking me however to remove their glow but leave their original 3D models untouched, that wouldn't look good since the OG 3D models have NO textures applied to them. This only applies to ammo lootdrops however.
Thank you in advance! It's so awesome you listen to community requests, I know it makes a lot of people (including myself) happy!
And yeah, I was referring to keeping all lootdrops, ammo, health and armor, as they looked in the original game: original model and original glow + colors.
I think it wouldn't clash too badly with the rest of the mod since you can think of it as the Doom Slayer's HUD highlighting small ammo bundles for him, but there not being a need for his HUD to do that with larger objects he can see just fine anyways.
Also, part of this alternate version could also include brightening up the world collectibles (health kits, armor and ammo in particular; anything that is essential in the moment to locate) to make them easier to locate in the middle of combat since currently they are a bit dark. These changes could be bundled together as a 'Lite' version and I think it would really cater to an a subsection of people.

Just delete all files in the source \gameresources\generated\decls\entitydef\prop\lootdrops of the Downloaded zip file and save it.
Done.
Invisible lootdrops with Realistic PickUps
