Hi, Thanks for this mod. I would like to play a around with different values for the lock-on distance myself. Can you give me some pointers what I would need to change in the files in the zip files to increase/decrease the maximum distance on which the meat-hook can lock on? Thank you!
When you unzip you will get a file that you can edit using the notepad. Use that, but I don't actually remember the param name. I created this mod like 3.5 years ago

This is how it should be in the Base Game and from the beginning! It makes playing with it sooo much more smooth and reliable! That is awesome!
Can something like that also be done with the Chainsaw and the Blood Punch? As far as I know they also use some sort of Lock-on Mechanism. It sometimes almost feels like my heart is standing still when one of them fails to lock-on...
Could you make a mod that makes the chainhook pull speed slower? So that you can swing around the enemy longer? Extend the time that the hook disconnects after too. If you don't make it I think i will have to learn to mod...
This mod makes the chain of the SG faster. So the meathook would pull toward enemies quicker, that doesn't mean that you're pushed into these enemies quicker though. "Extend the time that the hook disconnects after too" I don't know what you mean by that but I'm guessing that you want to stay in air longer? I think reducing the gravity would help you greatly with that.
It should, unless the update changes something with how the meathook works. I've generally made my mods future resistant. Tell me if still works. Thanks.
i just tried it and its brilliant. thank you ... if you can just make one final meathook mod :- max length, fast speed, 100ms cooldown and 100ms load time, in other words an instantly available meathook at max length.
is there any decal setting that can be inputed/adjusted to make the hook stay attached to the demon until it is reached ? i sometimes get a dropped attachment and thus have to initiate the meat hook again to get the hook stuck on the demon
Yes, that happens but it only happens when the demon is extremely far away,I'm not sure how to fix this though... however, I once kept meathook jumping till I reached a virtual ceiling!
oh really? interesting .... its ok though .... because what i wanted to achieve was instant meathooking while in the air against pain elementals and cacodemons...works a treat. thanks again
